This man just nonchalantly gave y'all a hit record while doing a product review đ€ŁWav Man is just different.. salute my g!
Honestly, a lot of these channels (including this one) that use their own songs as mic tests are so much better than anything I hear on the radio. I often seek out their tracks.
He stay doing tht release the hit my boy
A real radio hit lol make it seem so effortless
Man drop this track @thewavman
could someone send me the lyrics of this song? I'm Brazilian, I don't understand much English. please
I'm just glad to actually have a great vocalist give us a review. Everyone else talks specs and basic sound testing. Vocalists need to hear an actual vocal run through mics to know what it is doing.
I watched a lot of interviews on this mic. and it was yours that made me decide to get it. Thanks bro.
Canât get enough of your vids fr love em
So glad youâre actively uploading again đ„
Ohh man. Trust my guy. Wait til the crazy content comes my guy
BRO THIS SONG IS CRAZY YOU NEED TO DROP AN ALBUM! LOVE THIS SONG!!!! YOUR VOCALS & FLOW ARE FIRE
enjoyed watching this video so much ! And your tutorials are something else man đ„đ„ keep it up
So smooth. I tend to favor mics like this that are super smooth and clear without being bright or depending on too many treble frequencies to get that clarity. Warm Audio is a fitting name
How does this video only have 400 likes? Excellent review exactly what I needed to see and an insanely amazing vocalist! Thank you for blessing us one time!
I bought some of your presets, and they have changed my life đđ„ thank you so much!!
Glad they getting you right my guy đŻđŻđđŸ
You bought stock plugin version or waves version?
Beautiful voice man! Thanks for the detailed review
your voice is amazing man! loved the review too! god bless bro
I gotta say yo content have consistently improves! Yo mixing techniques always been great but I appreciate the audiovisual skillset
Bro just dropped one of the best mic reviews ever! I own the Wa 8000 mic and its a great mic. The orginal is a little smoother and has a lil more body to it in the low end but for the price its hard to beat. Dope Review!
You can get closer to the original by replacing the tube with a Telefunken or a Simemens EF94
The Sony has a real sweet high end, like a whisper to it, I really like the midrange articulation of the WA, will definitely be getting it for my studio! Great review and great singing!
Yep that Warms midrange smokes the Sony and actually cut through his mix better but Sony it's still king of the top end, just so silky.
I was waiting for this brođ„đ„
same here đ„đ„đ„
I have the WA-8000 I love every bit of it. Only difference I hear is there is a little more sizzle on the Sony mic than the WA. But I would just boost a little bit of that 12k using the Pultec eq to sort of match the Sony sound.
Oh my goodness you sound so good brother man.
Dude! your voice is great without auto tune! dope.
Warm Audio did a great job re producing this mic. The Sony is a teeny tiny tad bit warmer in the low mid / low end area but overall the Warm at a fraction of the price Iâd definitely buy this mic đđœđ„
Thanks brother, great review. I been looking into this mic and I produce a lot of Rap and Riga-ton and I can see this mic upping my game.
Great voice, sounds incredible
Was having trouble making up my mind between this or the wa87... After hearing how good your vocals sound I'm sold . The quality is unreal for the price.
Iâve had the WA87 and itâs amazing as well. After business partner broke it here I am reviewing new mics to buy n this one definitely checked the list his review got me sold lmao. 87 is so god dam crispy too would not disappoint.
47 seemed better
Very close, the wa 8000 is absolutely amazing in how it closely matches the c8000 but the c8000 just has a sound had a smoothness like someone else said that adds so much to an already amazing voice. But for the price itâs probably as close as youâll get and thatâs a feat in its own so with that being said Iâd definitely say itâs worth it
Wa 73 Wa 2a wa 76 pultec eqp fixes all the smoothness !
YOUR voice is amazing. â€
I need that song, killed it đ„đ„đ„
great review!
Bro really thank you for this video it's really man sum special
The wav man man man đ€â€
U snapped đ„đ„đ„
You have a very soulful voice
Gang nem!!! Been thinking about this mic!!
Gangggg had been thinking about this mic since last month debating on this or a u87. You Def sold me tho 8000 fosho. Preciate you as always broski.
I hope you got he 87
For the price, it's a no-brainer, but that top end and clarity in the mid-range on the Sony is BUTTER!
This video gave me what I was looking for bruv
I like the sound of the Warm Audio WA-8000. It's warm and gives a full sound without no effects. I like both tho but I love the WA-8000 between them both.
bro u really an idol!
so nice vocal skills maaan
hittin them vocals!
Dope comparison.
That Sony sounds nutz though.
Makes the vocal sound smooth or something.
We did this same shoot out at my studio. I have 2 Sony c800gâs and my boy grabbed one of these and brought it over. It sounds really good and for the price point itâs a no brainer especially if you want to be able to move around with it. It doesnât have the same thickness on the bottom that the Sony has, none of the clones weâve tested do. I think people miss that a lot, the fullness of the bottom. Also the top end is good, real good, but the Sony has a (down your throat) quality to it that no other mic has, sounds more 3d for lack of a better term. Great review and you sound amazing! I subscribed and followed on IG!
We also have a c800g. We can mod the WA8000 to resolve every issue that you mentioned. There's a new link in our video description for the mod. Not cheap, but tons cheaper than a new c800g
Word!
If you plug the GA-8000 into the Sony PSU (AC MC800G) you get this big Low End!
@@themfcnetwork how close does the mod make it to the original? and whatâs the price? I need to mod mines!
@@mixedbygip8938 The basic mod makes it really close and it's $100 for you to get the kit, $350 for us to do the mod. The full mod makes it nearly identical as we do a full tear down of the mic and install everything that is in the real Sony c800g but that is $1250 for the mod, and you need to supply us with the Sony capsule ($930). We are sold out of the capsules. We have completed 11 full mods already. All in all the mic really opens up after the basic mod, and the rest is for purest. If you like the mic already, it sounds ten times better with the basic mod. We have already modded mics on Reverb dot com for $1799 with Nuemann capsules too
@@mixedbygip8938 Message us on our page and we can provide details
U raw af bro đ„
I literally watch this review just for the song. We got a banger here!!!!!
Even the acapella is dope!
Heat !!!! Might need a mic update Iâve been using the same Rode nta1 since I started
Bro you are so talented
Came back to revisit this video and now I can tell a difference that Sony sounded warmer to me more thicker
Man knows his stuff đ„
Bro why is this not on streaming lol heâs fire đ„đ„
Keep going bro đ„đ„đ„đŻ
Much love bro đđŸ
Did we all just forget about the mic test & started vibing to the song alone instead
I was thinking about getting this mic for a while hopefully this will help my decision
I have a WA-8000 as well. I love it and have zero complaints. I run it through a BAE 1073MPF, into a LA2A clone. I suggest a Neve style pre to combine with a WA-8000 for anyone thinking of getting one.
I have WA273 pre into a 1176 UA. Mic pics up all the sound and so I need to treat my room some more. What daw are you using?
@@boomslapp I used PT for years and switched to Studio One 5 about 4 months ago. Zero complaints on that end and wish I made the switch sooner. Room is fully treated.
@@commonsense5188 So why is that? , what studio one have that PT doesnât ?
@@Mope333 PT is fine, I just got tired of their predatory practices and not keeping up with worthwhile, modern updates. S1 does everything and more than PT. I like to think of S1 as a hybrid of PT and FL studio. Best of both worlds. The workflow is crisp and solid and has lots of features that would require a whole wall of text to detail. I suggest giving it a shot. It was strange at first but once I got my footing, I never looked back.
@@commonsense5188 Ohh I see but yuh, thatâs how I see Mixcraft as too, A hybrid of Pro tools and Fl Studio. But I guess most daws are like that, where you can record and make beats. But still PT and FL studio are still the industry standard professional work, but thatâs meaningless now that we can create professional music and audio with almost every daw :)
Great video. Any new demos of the wa8000? Not sure if its only hype. It has a little cheap sound pushing through sometimes
Very close reproduction sound wise. The C800 just has this smoothness to it that seems to be unmatched. Great review đđŸ
YeaâŠitâs smooth but crisp just like the Nuemann m149
Its so smooth and super crisp... But the 8000 is sooooo close and future versions will be so closer đđŸ
The c800g is one of the simplest microphone circuits with only a handful of parts inside. Warm Audio copied the schematic available on the internet using the correct values, that's why it sounds similar, but as everyone can hear the flavor of those parts really matter to the recipe of the c800g sound. The WA 8000 is identical to the c800g on the inside, Warm Audio used a muddy capsule, the completely wrong tube, a WIMA capacitor that adds the wrong frequencies, and they did not add any foam under the capsule, so this makes it sound different from a c800g. All you have to do is add the Sony parts and the 2 mics match much closer to each other. It's not that complicated at all. Anyone who owns a WA8000 should put the Sony parts inside while they still can, try it yourself, we did and we were surprised with what we heard.
@@themfcnetwork Thanks for this hack bro đ
I advise you all to purchase MFC Networks Mod kit.
I was very happy with the results, That I purchased two!
You are fire đ„bro too extraordinary đ„đ„đ„đ„
Wave Man Man! Dope review my G. Have you ever used the UT Twin87 mic?
Talented voice!
I'm only watching this video again because of the song he made in it, it goes in man, you should've really recorded it in out on your soundcloud or youtube channel or something love the song
Love the comparison! The Sony effortlessly stood out to my ears. Which preamp did you use though?
Getting the C-800G is such a rare gem to even FIND nowadays..maybe the C100, a cheaper spiritual successor, may stand a chance.
I run my WA-8000 through my Neve Shelford Channel. Magical, like a Disney movie.
I was using the core and found out this mic sounds best with a solid state preamp. Iâm running it trough an SSL six channel and Neve portico 542 (500 series) and it sounds amazing
SALUTE YOU BRO ALWAYS LEARN EVERYTHING 4ROM YOU
C800 is wild đ„
I lowkey like that warm audio better itâs has more raspiness to it , the song sounds more smooth doe, definitely getting the warm audio
yo vocals fire bro
Which template you using to record? I want to purchase that same one using protools in this video
C800s top end is sparkly but smooth and low end is tighter but, I'm bout to buy that WA8000
More Mic Reviews Please
Hey man, Iâm new to the channel, but I would love to see a review on the Sony c80
What pre/compressor were you running the mic through?
My question as well
Thanks for the video man. I purchased a Sphere L22 mic modeler and itâs great for many things but I find itâs just a little bit stuffy or muffled for vocals.
The WA8000 is next investment.
Could you tell us what type of boom mix stand you were using or what youâd recommend?
12:42 vs 13:44
Seems like the WA8000 has less headroom than C800G does, when you were singing louder it would lose that open articulate top end. But at 1/10th the price it is a great recreation. Definitely usable.
Sounds gooooood bro
Man you really sound dope
I like it!
Can you show us your vocal chain of plugins?...sounds amazing...
The Warm doesn't sound like the real deal, but it's such a good mic for that price. I bought it as a good âŹ1,300 mic, not as a C800G replacement.
800 definitely has its original sound that can't be touched but for the price w 8000 is a great mic.
Bro i loveeeee that song, is it urs? i gotta have that on my list, the accord transition was really nice.
just got the warm audio recently. goes crazy âïž whats your vocal chain bro?
Bro this song is crazy is this your joint?? Please drop this lol. I just copped the mic and Iâm waiting on it now!
Bro u are soooooo good
Dope music fam highly talented! I got my WA8k today upon inspecting the capsule I noticed it was loose, moving back and forth is that normal? Other than that the vocals of it sits in really well with my mix. Didnât sound higher frequency than the beat just right on level with the whole beat.
This mic arrived at my door and have barely used cause I got COVID Haha! I canât really sing 100% but the backing vocals I just recorded cut through the mix with no processing. Holy Shit, I also tested it against the WA 47 and the Road NT1-A and Iâll tell you what.. the Road sounded like shit compare to these other two mics. Warm audio is killing it. The WA8000 is the best sounding mic Iâve ever owned and the WA47 the second.
Yo Wavman are those demo songs on Spotify or something??? Them joints are đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„
Which one of your templates did you do for this video would love to purchase ASAP thanks
WavMan help me, i got a question. When u use a microphone like Neuman TLM 102 with xlr input and ofcorse audio interface like Focusrite. There is GAIN knob. But we can also set volume in windows and this is question. What volume should be set in windows?
So when we gon get a music page đ needed this on my phone like yesterday
Yoooooooooooo the Wav Man gained some weight...last time I watched these videos was like 2018 so I guess its only fair...also I only understand the play on words now " the WAV man "
But bro, with that voice even on a $50 mic, youâll sound good đł
ayoooooooo this shit slaps!! What is your signal chain lookin like?
The Sony sounds so goood
Beat Tutorial next would be great.
The original was darker but I really wished we heard the vocals dry but great review and great song too bruh
What do you think is the better option between the WA 8000 vs the universal audio sphere that mimics the Sony C800? Thanks.
I could hear the difference! But how does the Slate Microphone "VMR emulations" compare to these two?
I'm hearing more sibilance on the WA-8000 on "start to racing..." and more top end sheen on the Sony. The Warm still sounds great, though.
Thumbs up if he needs to drop this song on streaming services
man that track.
