Great video diary Jacqui, the pain in your feet after the longest stage was crazy to see. I'm watching the 2020 edition for the first time from my lounge, well jumping on FB to get the updates. Friend of mine, Gareth Edmondston survived it last year and is smashing it out again this year. All you athletes are just inspiring. Thank you for spreading the word via this platform too.

What a great achievement, you are really strong. I love New Zealand with my heart, it would be a dream to discover this landscape as a trail runner on such a great course. Your video simply makes you want more. You are great. I hope to finally be able to run in your country again in 2022. Best wishes from Germany

congratulations. That is an amazing video. I am now going to have to look up races in New Zealand for future years. First Fat dog (Canada) 2020 and Lofoten ultra (Norway) 2021. I am not sure about a stage race, do you have any suggestions for a 100 miler or even 100 km?

Thanks for sharing, useful to see what I have to look forward to in a few weeks. That was quite a full pack you were carrying, were you unsupported? I'm running supported so hoping to get away with a Salomon Ultra 12 race vest.

why do you have such a big backpack ? while the others are running quite lightpack, is there a reason ? :) thank for the answer.

not a long distance runner, just curious, it looks like the slow jog pase is basically a fast walk pace. Is it easier to jog slow than walk fast?

If I may make a suggestion, you have endurance, ability, stregnth.
Chi runners and barefoot runners run just as long if not longer bare feet. If can be done by changing a little of style smaller steps lighter on toes forefoot, like a cat.
This will help with blisters aches and small nagging pains that come with running long distances.
barefoot running on grass will help change posture. Pretend like stepping on pins and needles.
Plus you'll be even more effective and efficient in my opinion.
Thinking that's why the guy came in the middle of the night to give you in certs. If you don't believe me ask or watch someone faster.
Thanks for listening. Positivity on races, good job, keep it up,good pace
