    element are poor quality. This test is
    to even out and increase frame rate , restore
    animations , align audio and video to known
    film speed , and create a master file of this element.
    I have selected 50fps as the original footage available varied between 25 and 30. the footage was rendered down to 25 , then doubled with time warp to 50.
    Many attempts have been made to increase the resolution and quality of this element however too much detail is missing.
    Digital compression was smoothed out , unsharp mask to even out edges , noise and scan lines added to break up blank flat areas.
    Replaced animations. Replace static transitions with higher frame rate/resolution transitions.

    Great work! I like how you gave all the digital animations a modern look like the tracking scanner, boarding animation, and the fuel gauge but kept the classic feel and look! I also like that you included the lap bar exit part! Makes me aggravated cuz that's all this ride needed was a minor refurbishment and it would have been quite up to date with the times! I miss this ride everyday and hope that universal brings it back! I'm sure they know that they made a terrible mistake with replacing it!

    The only refurbishment this ride needed was a simple change to the time circuits to display 30+ years from the year you’re traveling from instead of traveling to 2015.

    Great work!The only thing you missed is the sound that plays while the tracking scanner is trying to find biff,equally,not a problem,good work!

      there were a lot of different versions of this ride over the years with many changes. one being the sound in the vehicle. some older versions of the ride the scanner has a loud beeping noise while some newer versions the beeping was removed entirely. This sound track was pulled from vhs long before the dvd footage was made so it uses whatever sound tracks they happen to be using at the time.
      i suppose you could add the beeping back in if it was really important enough.

    This one is way better then the other ones I seen. Not only that I even have the orginal measurement's from the Simpsons ride. I made sure I got every bit of section there is top to bottom. I'm still going to build own accurate bttf ride

    fun fact: The simpsons and bttf the ride both use the same code and everything! they even used the same car

      hello
      although the ride was reskinned to a simpsons theme and the ride motion surfaces were reused a lot has been updated since 1990 and very few computer systems or code still exist from that era.

    The only problem with this is that the audio is lower pitched than normal. Is that because you're trying to avoid a copyright strike? Aside from that, everything else is great!

      the audio isnt changed from the ride audio , pitch shifting a full key down would be very noticeable if it were shifted.

    Is there a version without the noise and scan lines? I always preferred digital archives being without "additions." But your archival work is still amazing!

    • @Themaxleydog
      @Themaxleydog  Před 6 lety

      the original file was so compressed that you REALLY notice how low quality it is.
      i added the noise and scan lines just to sort of give the impression that the footage was recorded blurry , but not low resolution. it breaks up the big flat areas and even though it's "added" information , it helps give the impression that there's more information than there really is. i hope you understand.

    • @SeanVoltaire
      @SeanVoltaire Před 5 lety

      Yes, I totally understand! Besides digital archivism, the other reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to do Content Aware Scale on this video -- but the added scanlines are interfering with the algorithm. You can see a test without audio here czcams.com/video/qA56h83CATA/video.html The scanlines are breaking up the content aware scale effect!
