Jump aboard Slinky Dog's springs to ride round and round, up and down, in circles as the silly old slinky toy chases his tale!
At the heart of Toy Story Playland is the land's oldest character toy: an authentic "Collector's Edition" Slinky Dog, complete with original 1950s cardboard box.
This powered roller coaster is the tamest attraction in the land, simply offering a continuous, circular ride up and down a relatively gentle incline. Aimed primarily at a younger age group, it nevertheless provides enough fun and kitsch design to be appreciated by a wide demographic of visitors.
Entering a queue line formed out of Lincoln Logs building blocks, you eventually step inside the giant box itself, which even has a retro-styled boardgame printed on its inside. The giant Slinky Dog train is connected end-to-end, travelling in a loop around a dog bowl filled with rubber bones and Andy's baseball. It builds up enough speed to provide a mild, fun thrill which, combined by the quick rise and descent, actually provides a ride not too dissimilar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
The layout takes advantage of the land's sloping elevation to provide perhaps the most convincing feeling of being shrunk, especially when standing at the foot of the ride, its enormous box towering above, surrounded by oversized grass.

I used to love going on this ride when I was a child. I loved how it was fast but also had these little “bumpy” parts :)
I remember going on this ride the last time I went to Disneyland Paris, around 7 years ago when I was 6! My dad had made us all go on the tower of terror - I cried the whole time lol 😂- so I was allowed to choose a ride and I chose this haha! I miss those days!💗
the tower of terror is that huge tower that says hollywood tower, that goes up and down real quick, right?

There may be something similar, but they are planning on making a Slinky Dog rollercoaster! (looks amazing, you should check it out) I'm gonna go this summer when Toy Story Land opens for the Slinky Dog ride and the Rock and Rollercoaster. And also, trust me, the rollercoaster is going to be way better than this!

There are rides for all of the family. DLP have an app for both Apple and Android phones telling you about the rides and waiting times, it's also says whether suited for families or children. We used it quite a lot. Most are suitable for all ages and should cater for the ages you have. Unless they like fast and scary rides then they are catered for as well. But beware of waiting times for popular rides it can be anything upto 60mins in holiday time which then makes you aim for other rides.

For me almost every year (this sounds kinda spoiled)
I used to go practically every year when I was younger. I’ve grown a lot older now so i’ve moved away from going to Disneyland 24/7 haha.
