Thanks to our Union Government and also the Government of Maharashtra even though I am from Assam and very far from Mumbai but I am feeling very proud from my remote border village somewhere near Bhutan.

One of the major changes we are witnessing as Indians right now is the timely completion of large infrastructure projects. People may not even realize how significant of a change this is. Previously, projects like these used to take forever to complete due to mismanagement and corruption.
and with better roadways, the pace will keep on improving.
Yes this step literally cut down 2:30 hours of travel to just 15-20 mins and traffic reduction of two crucial spots Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

@@jinxed4lyf763yeah, some agency should conduct research into the amount of fuel saved and in turn forex saved. Gut feel is this will be massive, since a lot of traffic originating at Mumbai would be spending a lot of fuel to reach till Navi Mumbai (think about just the buses) and adding to a lot of traffic chaos enroute. The traffic heat map should how get colder because of this.

The #AtalSetu save 5-6 lts(500Rs) of petrol and 1.5 hours of time.. this is a game changing infrastructure and say thanks to God. Now let’s compare Toll
- Sealink: Congress kept toll Rs 50 one way in 2010 when started.
That number adjusted comes to Rs 210
- Toll per km = 210/5.6 = Rs 37.5 per km
- AtalSetu: Rs 250 one way
- Toll per km = 250/22 = Rs 11.4 per km

Union government and modi has nothing to do with the bridge cause they wanted to focus on samruddhi mahamarg highway so they refused to pass the bill and as it was uddhav thackrey's dream project so he passed the bill from mmrda in 2017 and started the construction of the bridge, it took 7 years to build the bridge and 17000 crore rupees approx.

60 years late but still a great achievement. Can't wait to travel on it. My mother worked for Mumbai port trust and there were plans to build this since 1970s. She had the map and alignment of this bridge drawn up in her office since 1970s

I remember before 2015, mother used to cook food with woods, it was extremly laborious specially in summer 😓 My mother now have Lpg by modi ji, and we as a family also improved from poor to middle class in this 10 years 😊 I was able to study under a bulb not beside Lantern, tnx to him 😊 What else do I need to have mad respect and love for this man. Also we have a Pakka house by central gov. that is registered by my mother's name. (Sorry for my bad English, I am not highly educated 😅 studied English from CZcams)

This project was stalled since 1991 under khangress the scam party.
Only in 2016 it is re planned and work started.
GOI got the loan from JICA and is the guarantor for the state gov.
