But I'm enjoying thinking about how many new stories and possibilities this could create!

What happens if the anchor hero dies? Will the entire universe end?
Are there any special qualifications to become an anchor hero?
Can anchor heroes from different universes meet each other?
Is being an anchor hero a blessing or a curse?
I'm sure Marvel will use this concept well.

I think that anchor hero could be for a particular time because an anchor hero cannot be immortal. For example iron man is the anchor hero from the start of the MCU to Avengers endgame after that someone else will be the anchor hero.

I think Wanda is the anchor hero of the main MCU. As, as soon as Wanda died in DR. Strange part 2 and then incursion got started. And also in comics there was only one Wanda in the whole multiverse. but in MCU we already saw her variants. Not only that, She can also manipulate reality just like molecular man in comics

Like a anchor is a person who's important for a certain storyline or plot for example, if thor had died when he fought with Thanos, no one would have stopped thanos and without thor they might not have any chance against future thanos and eventually future thanos would have destroyed the universe while trying to rebuild it.

May be the anchor hero is a character is important for the universe to survive the incursion, for eg iron man was the anchor hero for Avengers to survive, Dr strange saw almost every possibility and the only way of their survival was solely dependent on iron man from making the time machine to sacrificing himself for the greater good and if I had choose an anchor hero from our universe it has to be Dr strange or thor but a bit serious one
