  • Well, ok it's not so much a what's in them as it is just a general look at my craft bag setup and how I juggle the stuff needed for multiple active projects in multiple crafts. But still!

    I also have only of each tool (scissors, seam ripper, etc) which has been a problem on more than one occasion when I left the house without scissors in my project bag because I usually just have them on the table beside the couch. I now have an "emergency crafting tool kit" which lives permanently in the car. 😂 Thanks for letting us peek at your system. 😊

    Purple best colour! Such a fun little video as always, love seeing the new yarn in the back!

      I did definitely notice a HEAVY purple theme while editing this video, haha, what can I say I know what I like :D

    😍 what's in my (whatever) bags are always such a delight to watch! Everyone carries such interesting stuff around.. as someone who's purse can best be described as "everything you need except for the flamethrower", it's very satisfying to watch.

      My mum-in-law & I did a "what's the strangest thing in your bag" game...I won!

      You can't just say that and not tell us what was in your bag...

      Apart from a trusty backpack I was never really much of a bag person, is the thing! But I'm just moving my craft projects around constantly so definitely needed to come up with a system :D
      (also I should probably learn about how handbags work, but whatever)

      @TheGiddyStitcher it's a bit misleading. She had a broken watch and I had a rosary! In not a practising Catholic 😅

    Loved seeing how folks organize! I realize I do much better with transparent bags, both for projects and notions. I’ve been saving lots of random bags though…maaaaaybe reusing boarding in hoarding. But, good intentions! Impressive you have one motions bag.

    “SENSE And SENSIBILITY”…….My Dear this 73 Year old Happy Ager who from the PNW of the States LOVES getting a peek into possibly the ‘darker’ side(giggling here) of another particular “giddy”fibre crafter…..”we can’t look away”…..besides just being a wonderful way to share with the community ….it’s the way this Elder tries to learn a new trick or two at whatever age she is blessed to live…..ps. “frugality got three children through university and my dream to live on the water by my late sixties….If I die tomorrow “I was Here”

    I make reusable shopping bags to give away and have to admit some of the nicer ones end up stuffed with a cross stitch or crotchet WIP so I can grab whichever I want to do and it's all there. Except the hooks. Because I don't own enough hooks and am forever digging that 5mm out of project 1 for project 4, and then forgetting which project I was using it in when I go back to 1...

    Great peek at all your craft notions/pouches! Not sure if I suggested this before, but better twice than never. On both Etsy and Ravelry they have great ponchos and other coverups you may like to knit for the next cruise. Lots to look at; some are free or not very much to purchase. Good luck!

      I think you have suggested it before, and it was a great idea so I've in fact JUST finished knitting a poncho-style shawl due to the encouragement! Will find an opportunity to show it off soon!

    Whenever I'm taking a craft out with me I use the same pokemon pencilcase that doesn't get used otherwise as my 'zip pouch' and grab all my essentials from my desk and pop them in.

    • @TheGiddyStitcher
      @TheGiddyStitcher  Před 29 dny

      I only WISH I could trust myself to pack it every time. But I'm moving around constantly, and would definitely get annoyed at the constant packing and also lose stuff. Amusingly enough I lost the zip bag itself after filming this, but turns out I'd accidentally left it in the backpack so it's all good :D

      @@TheGiddyStitcher Pfft typical XD good job it was in one of the locations you expect to find it, the only reason I manage packing it each time is at home I only craft at my desk (where I spend all my time) and have my little fish of supplies and some other bits in their homes on the desk so it's easy to just grab and pack and then unpack when I'm home.

    Do you have a link to the cactus bag you made? It looks like it has a bit of structure which I’m not sure if it is the material or interfacing. So much to learn. :)

    Thanks for the video! I do have more than one pair of scissors, but usually grab my favorite pair from my stitching spot whenever I'm packing to go somewhere. Do you always have a needle with your cross stitch project? Take care!

    • @TheGiddyStitcher
      @TheGiddyStitcher  Před 29 dny

      Yep I keep the needle stuck to a minder at all times so I can never forget to take one with me! Although if we're packing for a flight or something I'll take it off and make sure it's secure in a pocket somewhere, but for general day-to-day flinging into the big project bag the needle minder method works fine :D

    I SWORE I wasn't going to be someone who matched my needleminder to my project. Yeeeaahhh...that lasted about a month. LOL
