Merveilleuse machine.
The very first one I saw was in this classic green colour back in 1975. Wow, what a machine, and when the guy rode away on it, it purred like a kitten. How envious I was, and still am.
I have this exact bike. Bought it new in 1976 and still ride mine 164000km later. Still original but with many upgrades due to it's age and mileage. Exhausts, electronic ignition, akront alloy rims and Hagon shocks.
For the life of me I can't understand why Kawasaki brought out the Fugly Z900RS when they could have made it look like this with modern components and systems.
@@afenijmeijer9027 What about the seat? The original 900's had a proper seat for the pillion passenger, but on the 900RS now it's just an afterthought. Also, I think it's unnecessarily too high.
The first one I ever saw was in this colour back in the mid 70's. What an awesome machine. These bikes in this condition are extremely rare now, and should be cherished and respected as part of motorcycling history. If you have one this good, please look after it, I have seen so many on you-tube being thrashed mercilessly. It's such a crying shame.
Hi Chris ,, I own a (MINT) Z1b myself , This Z900 is NOT show standard, Isnt it strange how people think the Z900 is nicest one because of its pretty Emerald Green paintwork.. The Z1b one by far the best model of the Z1s .....Greg (Warrington)
My brother had one just like it. Had the dealer paint it a pearl white. He was going to get the chrome header told him to get the flat black one instead. That bike was fast.
Tie straps holding the wiring to the handle bars , After market crash bars ?????...What kind of bike show is this. Im beginning to understand now how my Z1B has won so many top awards,,,, Greg, (Warrington)

I still think that the 900 Z1 is the most beautiful motorcycle ever made.

I remember this Kawasaki, I was still young and for me it was and still is the most beautifull bike ever produced !

@@cgln8760 I disagree. The new Z900 RS looks great.
