We unboxed and played the new Simmons Titan 50 and it sounds amazing and the best thing is that is costs less than $500 dollars! I'd say this is the perfect drum set for beginners!

Just started drumming a short time ago (about 4 months). I bought an Alesis Turbo Mesh. Didn't want to spend too much just in case it didn't work out for me. After watching this video, I purchased the Titan 50 (got the expanded kit with extra tom and crash). It was delivered two days ago and I think I'm really going to love it! So far, so good.
Some of your other videos are what really motivated me to start drumming in the first place. Thanx!!!
I bought this kit and so far it is amazing. To me the only real downsides so far are that you cant catch the cymbals, and the ride is not dual zone so no bell. Otherwise its amazing, I LOVE the big snare, it destroys the nitro mesh on that basis alone.
can you get another symbol or ride from somewhere else and add it?
OS I don't know anything about drums
@@killaken2000 you can add catchable cymbals (the expansion pack and expanded version of the kit come with catch sensor crashes), but unfortunately you wont be able to make the cymbals dual zone as that's limited by the module itself. Another problem with using other companies cymbals is that the rack is rectangular, so basically no somewhat universal round rack clips will work. You would need the simmons titan50 rack clips already which they do not sell individually. All that being said I still think the kit bangs for the price point, and Alesis is going to have to step up their game in response.

I've been a recordng and gigging drummer for decades.. just ordered these for the new band. Playing small venues and even recording with these will be awesome.. however, I will never stop playing acoustic drums ..

I bought this kit two weeks ago. Iâm more than impressed. I havenât played in 6 years but this kit is good enough to show me that the kit ainât the problem.. I am. Until I get better than this kit Iâm not moving up. But when I do itâll probably be the the next version of the SD1250..

I had to trade my old acoustic Slingerland's (HUGE) for a Yamaha DTX (this was in the early days of digital drums). It was a space thing. I have never liked he Yamaha's. They sound nothing like the Simmons in the video. I would almost consider them. I have a Pearl double beater bass pedal that is the king, but the Yamaha hi-hat is the worst. Your video is great. Thanks!
Great video! this drum kit looks awesome for the price. I just have a couple of questions, are the cymbals dual zone? does the bass drum fit a double pedal?
The cymbals are not dual zone but you can catch them. You can fit a double pedal.
When u connect it using the usb ,are u using MIDI along with VST plugin to record? Or the default drum module sounds can be recorded directly with the usb connection without a VST plugin?
The USB connection sends and receives both audio and MIDI. So you can either use the built-in sounds or you can trigger a plug-in through your DAW.
This looks and sounds very similar to the Alesis Nitro Nesh Kit, even the "rims" of the drums look similar

I'm still using a 2nd hand DTXpress IV that i bought in 2018. The sound is dated, but having it plugged into an audio interface and running Steven Slate 5.5 (the free version) in Studio One 5 Artist (Reaper is free!), it became awesome sounding. But of course, the rubber pads is becoming meh..

There is an expansion kit available to add a fourth tom and second crash cymbal with a choke.
