AEG Electrolux dishwasher i30 error (flood protection) workaround fix

  • AEG dishwasher (model F77011M0P) drain pump started running constantly when dishwasher was off. Manual water valve in faucet was open and machine was slowly leaking water in. Water filled the bottom of the machine and flooded to secondary tray under the machine where the flood sensor (floating styrofoam sensor) is located. This activates the i30 anti-flood protection mode.
    The cause seems to be that "safety valve" in water inlet hose is not fully closing, thus allowing water to leak into the machine. Replacing the hose with valve costs like 200 eur+ so we're planning to replace the entire machine instead. EDIT: We bought a new machine (different brand) in 4/2021 after about 2 years since the first occurrence of this i30 problem.
    You can keep using the old "leaking" machine when manual water input valve is closed after every wash.
    KNOW THE RISKS! If you forget to close the manual valve and there's long electricity outage or drain pump breaks down or inlet valve starts leaking more water, you might get wet floors!

    • @MikkoAuvinen
      @MikkoAuvinen  Před 3 lety

      That's the case also with our machine because input valve is leaking water into machine (while machine is off) as shown in video with wet paper. This triggers i30 error if manual water valve is left open for a day or such. See video description for full explanation.
      "Meanwhile we can keep using the old "leaking" machine when manual water input valve is closed after every wash."

      @@MikkoAuvinen i found out my problem. My problem started when I put (don't know the english word for it but I call it dishwasher salt) in to the container and forgot to close the lid. The next morning it was fine but then I started a second time i30. came after 30 minutes. I could not figure out how,what and why so I decided to take the machine apart. I took out the container where the salt used to be and you know what? It was empty but the slot next to it was filled with dirty left over food etc. Because I forgot to put the lid back all the salt was gone and food went inside it. So I cleaned it out and put everything back together. I run it 3 times empty and the first time with a machine cleaner. It is good for now (has been 3 days).

    My error 30 started in the middle of a cycle and the device continuesly bipped and pump ran till in unplugged it from the electricity (if i plugged in again it immediately sterted to beep and pump ran). I did your solution and device stopped beeping, but after 30 sec when I ran a cycle again the error 30 came back. Seems there must be an actual fault like a leackage, faulty sensor or something?
    EDIT: I have rechecked and there is full of water again so i image a hose leackage...

    lol there is usually a reason as to why there is water in the bottom pan. simply clearing it away is not problem solving. you need to find the reason as to why the water was leaking in the first place.

      Yes it's the front bottom cover. Usually no need to move the machine if your AEG/Electrolux model has roughly the same structure.

    • @MikkoAuvinen
      @MikkoAuvinen  Před 3 lety

      If the water level inside the machine raises above the certain level (for any reason), it will deliberately flood into secondary tray where the flood sensor is located. Read the video description for details (in our case water input valve was leaking).
