About to start this model and was looking for reference material and found your series. Really enjoyed it. Started my own channel this year and found yours very well done. Looking forward to your other videos. Thanks for sharing

Excellent skills. I tend to leave parts that require the same color on the sprue. Touch up later.

I was scared to enter my first model car contests there was 450 entries total combined of just cars with 5 classes and I placed 1st in all except for one and that was 3rd for best overall build in the anything goes called unlimited class so thanks for all the tips man and this car here got me first in the racing class and followed what you do and learning from all CZcamsrs and man you will be surprised a lot of cars there was nice but all was run of the mill colors and kits you gotta stand out from choice of car to choice of colors on cars that are not color specific builds like racecars. And this was the first kit I airbrushed 100 percent and I wanted to make sure it was the best build I ever done cuse the price of the kit and price of even the new revell kits from Germany are up to 50-60 dollars but the details and parts are outstanding and the way everything fits is getting close to Tamiya but not there yet Tamiya is still the best lots in fitment. Be ready to do alot of painting and alot of work goes into this kit because it has a lot of parts probably double the amount of close to it of a revell level 5 kit. And hand cutting the masks was nice for making them for perfect but took so long. It took me 6 months working. On this kit 5 hours every sat and Sunday and 2 hours every night after work I got thousands of pics off the internet and got it as scale as I could by adding more detail like hoses and AN fittings and all the clamps and zip ties and zues fasteners added some bolts and specialty hardware that stick out in picks and alot of the color call puts Tamiya put in instructions was wrong

Sometimes you just have to go for it. You never know what people, and the judges, will like.

@@ScaledDownCustoms exactly then the following show a month later I entered my winning cars plus 5 new builds I did in that month that was beautiful perfect scale size flakes and all in the paint and the builds that won that I listed didn't even place in the top ten but my new ones I brought to a complete different show only 1 of them which was the foose Ford fd100 box stock class won 1st because the colors I chose flowed and was in every aspect of the build and everything stood out. If you build each sub assembly like it is its own model and make every piece stand out using the same colors through out the whole build you will have a beautiful show build. My colors was orange for the main color on body and satin black highlights and stripes on body and chrome. So I went with those three colors through the whole build like the frame the whole frame was orange suspension was satin black for some and chrome on others same with engine satin black valve covers and chrome with saying black highlights on the air cleaner chrome headers chrome intake manifold orange block and heads and the engine compartment was satin black and radiator was chrome. Interior dash was same orange as body the trim was satin black and chrome on your handles and knobs and shifter knob ECT and it all stuck out every part did but it flowed. That's how it won

The only thing I didn't like was that the masking tape they provided wasn't cut out but all in all it's a great model

I thought the same thing at first but then I realized that I can get a more accurate cut if I do it myself. I have never gotten the pre-cut ones to line up as good as I want them.
