    I saw Bloomquist win a race on 3 wheels, don't ever besmirch the GOAT.

    It looks like when the right front set going into the corner something broke, more than likely a ball joint or upper control arm. If you look right when he enters the corner it starts to push, the rear end grabbed the cushion and then it went further south from there. The car took a direct drive towards the wall. It looks like it all started before the cushion, but it is a hard angle to tell from. It's a part of racing, you are dealing with machines. Parts failure is sure to happen. And as far as "wrecks people", once again: it's racing. And with 5-600+ late model victories, he could probably care less what we all think.

    The mans record speaks for itself .. I've seen Bloomer run at quite a few tracks and when that guy pulls into a track you better have your sh*t together or you are all running for second. He is probably the most prepared guy out there, that has alot to do with winning.

  • @PlaterpussLOL
    @PlaterpussLOL Před 9 lety +14

    He was on the high side beggining of the race the clay is very wet up there due to lack of cars being up there. you can talk crap if you want it happens to every driver but mr bloomquist is still the best cause of his wins and if you don't think thats true then i guess you don't like Mr Schumaccher, Mr Earnhardt or Mr Petty.

  • @Mr51JL
    @Mr51JL Před 10 lety +6

    Racing deal! He pushed it hard trying to get a run on the outside. Car just didn't stick. I watched him since I was little and I have seen him make mistakes but very few. He is one of the best but he is still human!

    • @dragoflight2noname952
      @dragoflight2noname952 Před 7 lety

      Mr51JL he is a drug dealer & has an arrest record for it and was banned for life, how he got to race while in prisoned & able to still drive to this day I will never know.
      Billy Moyer is really the best of the best late model drivers

  • @tylerharr3485
    @tylerharr3485 Před 8 lety +1

    he got up into the marbles

  • @HOWRacing_KUSTUM-SYKLES

    You would think he would've been able to push up against that Cushion a little bit more and hold his line, it didn't look all that wet and I assume it was the feature just from all the dirt on the other cars, but when you get up in those marbles you're definitely rolling the f****** dice. Definitely could argue the possibility of equipment failure (tie rod, ball joint, upper issue?), because that car got extremely unhappy, real quick. I mean, it could have been from pushing too hard on the cushion, but rapidly as it occurred and not being his first rodeo, find that hard to believe. Almost looked like he hung a little bit on the lead car, tough call, I probably rolled it back at least 50 times, because as we all know it only takes a little bump to get you squirrely, especially going as hard on Entry as they were. Regardless, no doubt about it, I definitely believe Bloomquist in a late model is one of the top 3 best drivers and not to mention, chassis fabricators, ever; fact!

    willing to bet something broke in the front end there was no cushion to jump track looks very clean and tacky no blue dirt not slick looks like mechanical and before you say something like jumped the cushion learn about race tracks

  • @dirtracingjunky
    @dirtracingjunky Před 11 lety

    theres a cushion up there that he was trying to put the right rear on. he didnt get on the cushion and had his right rear up in the marbles. which is the term for loose dirt above the cushion. which caused him to hit the wall. nothing broke prior. driver error. he still is one of the best. every one makes mistakes

  • @SlickTrackLover47
    @SlickTrackLover47 Před 11 lety

    I think Bloomquist just got in the corner too hot or possibly broke something in the front suspension. Hard to say, but he is one of the best late model drivers in the world hands down. With well over 500 wins he deserves respect. All racecar drivers make mistakes. It's not a very good angle to predict exactly what happend

    Hard to tell with this video because it does look like something on the car broke, but without being in the car it is hard to know for sure. It appears his right front was flat, and that will cause a car to come out of its pitch and turn towards the wall.

    Well Scott is in the top 5, but best ever I am not seeing. That is easily reserved for Jeff Purvis #15 in my opinion. He won so much on dirt I don't even think they could count or keep track. In fact he would win sometimes 3 to 4 times per week traveling around and dominated most world 100s. I would have Jeff Purvis#1, Larry Moore#2 then maybe Scott Bloomquist#3 (at least a list for last 35 plus years). I will give Scott credit, when he was young he followed Purvis around everywhere he went trying to beat him and said if I beat the best I will become the best.

      i liked jeff a lot and raced against him some in the 80s, twice at pennsboro, yes he was good, at the time had much better equipment than most of his competition, but i never saw him win a race in that era. i know for sure he won plenty, but the best i can't agree with. i'm a big scott fan and im 74yrs old and have seen a lot more than most of the fans of today. he has been around a long time and to me that makes him better than most. we've had a lot of great drivers, in their own time, but when someone lasts through a few decades that puts him at the top of most lists to me. and if any of jeff's family or friends read this and are offended i apologize, i still think about what he may have accomplished if he had not been injured and i wish him the very best. one of my favorite pictures is of him and me at pennsboro at speed, it's posted on my facebook page.

  • @theivory1
    @theivory1 Před 8 lety

    He either lost control and hit the wall, or something broke and he hit the wall. Both of which have happened to almost every driver at some point. I don't know enough about him to say I'm a fan or not, but you need some better evidence to conclude that in general, he wrecks people.

  • @kristyglennkg
    @kristyglennkg Před 7 lety +1

    Ever hear the saying "Rubbin is Racin"?? It's the truth!! U actually think anyone wants to cause a huge pileup & wreck their own car in the process? Doubtful. I know there are always a few exceptions to that rule. But, for the most part they're all pretty great friends & wouldn't want to harm each other physically...... After all they do end up racing on what feels like ice if it's a big race. If it's a small one it's hard to just pass at all without touching.... These guys go back & forth with each other almost every weekend. They normally don't get upset about anything until they get to their pit & one of their workers tells them this guy or that guy took u out on purpose!!

    • @kristyglennkg
      @kristyglennkg Před 7 lety

      Another fact, no one knows what really happened unless u were behind them or beside them. U can't see much of anything from the bleachers. Something on a car could have broken or whatever. It's never a perfect race for anyone every single night.
      What do most of the fans come to see anyway? LOL!! THE WRECKS!! It they weren't allowed to touch each other no one would show up.... Would you??

    Scott is one of the best ever dirt late model drivers ever. Did the car break?, maybe, did Scott over drive into the corner?, maybe.
    regardless, Scott has proven his raw talent and ability to wheel a car to the raw edge. To those who bad mouth him, suck it up, yes, he is that great.

    OP says for us to hash it out. Seems by your title your opinion is already biased. I watched it five or six times and it looked like the right side got into the marbles which will suck the car to the wall. I'm not sure what lap this was but it at least was either the start or a restart in which case he started on the outside to begin with. Most of us that have raced dirt tracks know this as well as Scott. So for you to even think that it looks intentional or that its a mistake just shows how ignorant you are of dirt track racing. I laugh at it now...such bs for a video title.
