At 03:01 , Cyst #6 should be named "Smothering Darkness" and not "Aerial Ace". Everything else remains the same, just a small typo in the text. Sorry about that! I've used the YT editor to remove the text, but it'll take a while for it to process.
Additionally, if you can only see one Cyst on the map, go to where the map marker begins (at the entrance to the zone from the previous zone) and there should be two birds. You can interact with them to toggle the alternate Cyst for that location.

@@captainborracho4289 u need to do the alone in darkness quests till u unlocked all cysts. Then u can change cysts with the bird like Eso says

for people confused on why they're stuck on 16 motes , threes a glitch with the meatball launching its mote to the moon so bungie has removed it until they fix it. PS: the meatball is one of the blooming area bosses.
when did they remove it? and did they say as to when they think it will be fixed? bc that's all I need :/

Me earlier in the legendary khvostov quest "Man I love grindy quests!"
Me now in the exotic khvostov quest "Why are we still here.. just to suffer?" -me four overthrow rounds in with the same boss each time.
feel that, I was so confused when the triumph registered each clear of blooming as a unique boss when i've only seen the ogre boss. so now I don't even know which area or bosses I'm missing because I'm missing 4 motes.

@cheydy184 if I had to guess, it'd be the meatball in the blooming. His is disabled because he was just s l i n g i n g it across the map when he died. And it would softlock your progress.
Oh yeah I'm all about this quest except the RNG bullshit-as-usual. I guess at least we know they literally can't stop relying on that garbage.
The story addition from the visions of the traveler orbs teaches us some amazing things. Wow... what a story.

Warning for people doing overthrow bosses, you should get the mote from the meatball boss in the blooming first because I killed that boss for my final mote and the game took away all of my motes and did not give me the mote to open the chest. My account is now soft locked on this exotic quest till bungie can patch this bug. AGAIN KILLING THE MEATBALL OVERTHOW BOSS IN THE BLOSSOMING LAST MIGHT REMOVE ALL MOTES FROM YOUR INVENTORY AND NOT LET YOU GET THE EXOTIC

is not only the meatball, i just did the arc wizard boss and lost all my motes too, i have killed all the bosses (i just noticed i have the triumphs) and i didn't have all the 17 motes

Reminds me of when we first got the Exotic Khvostov, where we had to go around scavenging Golden Age spare parts from around the system. Just now, we're re-crafting it with our Hopes, Dreams, and the Light
Yeah, the amount of overthrow required for legendary Khovostov was grating enough. Not looking forward to even more for the exotic version, or potential bugs noted by other comments

The lava pool was still there even after killing the boss, what do I do?
@jakesmith1450 continue Alone in the dark until it has the mission you need, there's 2 version of that lava cave.
For 3:05 you have smothering darkness but in the video he says aerial ace? Wuen I did it, the room was filled with lava and I couldn't get the piece I needed.

It's actually extremely bugged, I have 16 motes, killed all 9 bosses (triumph confirms that) and collected all 8 traveler's lights (triumphs confirms that) and it says I have 16.... I GUESS 9+8=16 I FUCKING LOVE BUNGIE

Redo bosses, they'll drop you the mote if you missed it, I missed one and was able to kill the boss again and get the gun

For anyone currently stuck on the last step: Koftiks has currently been disabled due to a bug where he'd delete the rest of your motes, should be able to kill him, and therefore finish the quest, in an update soon (hoping tomorrow). Also, if you want to track your boss kills, go into triumphs, the pale heart, world, exploration, and they'll be in there. For me, I had to kill them all the amount of times the triumph stated, so it wasnt just a one and done.
Goddammit. thought it was just super rare like the meatball boss in the malfeasance quest.

For those stuck on the last mote, this worked for me as of today. I put my motes into the bank, just guessed that I needed the meatball mote like everyone else and on the next blooming overthrow he spawned and drop the final primordial mote. Dont know if the spawn was just luck and same with the final mote dropping but it did work regardless, best of luck out there!

For anyone having the exotic mote not drop at the meatball, walk along the walls ! i thought it had taken all my mote and not dropped me the exotic like many but i heard the sound of an engram near a wall and when i got close it picked up the exotic mote, its probably a hitbox issue making the exotic go inside the walls

Just got the AR:
1. Don’t do the overthrow with a group, solo it. The boss spawning is based on team members I suppose. Once I started doing solo, I got all the motes.
2. Extremely grindy: get all the region chests: 9 encryptions; when doing micah quests, get the 6 encyptions as well; you will be doing overthrow anyway during micah quests so it should be 6 motes I think. Do overthrow 3 more times, should be 9. Then traveler vision motes. This was a nightmare
Do I have to do the finding traveler statue first then kill the bosses or I can just kill and collect all nine mote before doing the collecting?

Is there a way to know which boss hasnt given me the mote? Im at 15 but my triumphs say ive kulled them all except one. Somethings not adding up
im confused ive done cyst 1 four times but it doesnt progress. Ive found the ghost everytime and it wont let me progress to the others until its done 💀

This quest is such a pain in the ass.
The mote DOES drop. Inside left of boss (once he dies - wall directly behind him), rock pile. Boom.
I killed all the bosses (aka I have all the associated overthrow boss triumphs completed) and have 16 motes but I’ve been grinding for a couple hours cycling between each area but my final one has yet to drop. I got all the traveler collectibles, all the keys and the legendary khvostov, everything should be fine and just work lol. I swear, this game’s bugs are just the worst sometimes.
Go re-kill every single boss, I missed a mote as well and was stuck at 16, it dropped for me when I eventually killed the boss I missed

I can't re-enter the seering light cyst to collect the bit, I already did it once as a part of the alone in the dark quest but didn't collect the bit. I can re-enter all the other cysts but the bird for this one just isn't showing up and the wall behind the waterfall is closed. This is so annoying idk what to do

Bosses aren’t rng. They simply appear based on if you’ve completed the triumph or not

Hi I have 14 lost encryption keys, I just wanted to find out, if you are meant to dismantle them, to get the final lost encryption code?
How do you summon each unique final boss on the overthrow? Do I just keep repeating the event and I'll get a different boss? Or it rotates on a timely basis?
Where did you find the sword to smash the blockade on the first one?
Finally finished this, it's patched but I did notice that I have to move at certain angles to open the chests...
When I do the arial ace second time the lava is still there? any ideas. completed it multiple times and unlocked all 6 of the cysts.

It’s funny, yesterday I said the same thing and I got chewed out in the comments section. Like, if it takes 5 separate quests and a bajillion hours to complete, I think I have the right to complain. Yeah, a “grind” is a compassionate understatement.

Anyone know how to respawn specific bosses? The ones I ran through on day one were hit and miss dropping the motes, I have all of them completed in my triumps, but I'm missing three motes from them. This is extremely frustrating.
I'm soft locked. Can't get past step 4 to invert the cyst for transgression, there's no bird at the pyramid and it's already inverted on my map. Can complete it over and over but doesn't progress the quest and I can't get a new one.
The "Alone in the dark quest" does not appear to me and I have all the encryption bits. Pls someonr help

Do you need the alone in the dark quest for a particular cyst in order to get the data bit from that cyst?
You need to do Alone in the Dark to unlock the cyst, but you if you're going back to get them, then no. I can't confirm if the data bits are there on your first clear.
My last boss is the servitor which is apparently streaming buggy, am i screwed?

So I’m stuck. I checked my triumph and it says I found all the traveler vision orbs and killed each boss which are all checked off in each zone but I only have 15 motes of light instead of 16 and then do the 17th at the landing. How do I fix that?
