Great video! Just make sure the resin that is used contains a UV inhibitor or it will discolor and get brittle over time.

I am making mine for my actual project, I know they existed for my car but sadly didn't produce them anymore, used ones are really rare and expensive, so this is the only thing I can do for my car

Who could you contact to make a silicone mold if you had a tail light that you wanted to get clear lenses for?🤔
good tutorial, normally you want to preheat the mold in the oven before putting it into the pressure pot to have a more even temperature across the thinner areas of the mold, I'm curious if you had tried that at all? clearly your current process with working just fine though.
We preheat all our molds - there's simply too much stuff to go over and we just forgot to mention it this time around. If this video does well enough we'll go back and touch on all the small details we missed.

🤔 wonders if I should make clear LED taillights for my Crossfire. But how do you get past the Canbus error LED lights throw on older cars.
Resistors based off which you need. Usually 3 or 6 ohm in-line.
Or a canbus eliminator wired in the circuit

how many times can you use the silicone mold?
Really depends on geometry/maintenance. A good one will last ~30-40 pulls
anyone know about how many runs you can get out of one of the molds? or does the heat degrade them quickly

RIP, I need new lenses for my 85 RX7 since mine are cracked and I can't find any donors within a reasonable price. How bad/difficult would it be to cast one with a small crack and try to repair said crack and make a new mold from that 💀
ive been doing it on smaller things,, just silicone aint cheap to make clear lenses.. for all car models..its like 20l for 1 lens required...... or even more

can it handle all kinds of outdoor weather and temperatures? I thought resin can yellow over time
Crystal Clear 202 has mercury in it, which is a UV inhibitor (and also ultra-nasty)
