      Russell Macpherson Thanks! You're going to have a blast! I go into these baking projects thinking, "I'll likely screw this up, but at least I'll learn" then, to my surprise they keep turning out great! It must be a good baking system or I'm just getting lucky? Please let us know how it goes for you. Cheers!

    I hope the wife and kids do something really cool for you for Father's Day for you as its rare you see such a great dad like yourself these days. Crumble cake for the family out in the field! You rock my man. Only great dads spend the kind of quality time with their family like this building those assume memories. The kids bantering in the background just make you smile when you hear them. Hope your business keeps growing.

    Outstanding Brother Steve 👏 I know this review was 7 years ago, but now that I own The bigger Billy 3qt Pot, I need to also save up for the Baking kit, along with the new Chef Knife 🔪. It might take a little while to save up, when a person is on a Fixed income, it just makes it a little harder, I think you are a master baker, you make it look so easy, I hope you are okay with another FIREBOX Fan Boy, I love all of your awesome products, Thank you for Sharing your review. This is another fine demonstration! You need a spatula to match your tongs in order to lift baked goods from your oven and pan system. Your fears about too brown or black don't seem to be warranted. As a life-long bread baker, I would say your loaf is great!

    The large one would be cool if the lid locked tighter. Then if it had a thermometer and an adjustable air vent built into the lid would make this perfect.

  • @Lellobeetle
    @Lellobeetle Před 9 lety +2

    Steve, thank you SO much for the closeup on the firestick placement. That REALLY helps me. The second slot down on the side and the first slot on the horizontal top. Got it!
    Now I have another question for you - I'm so excited that you guys have taken such an initiative to create the metal top clips, cut the pans and offer the in-pot support/rack. That's bringing a true entrepreneurial spirit to your product line. My question has to do with my trying to choose between the Z14 or Z16 setup.
    As I told you before, it's just my husband and me and we never entertain while camping, so I'm thinking Z14. However, I wonder how the baking mixes correlate to the size 14 setup as opposed to the 16.
    When you bake with the 14 (I'm assuming you've done so), do you have to adjust the recipe for size to accommodate the smaller pans? In other words, it might be easier just to go with the Z16 setup so we wouldn't have to modify any recipes.
    Your thoughts?

    • @fireboxstove
      @fireboxstove  Před 9 lety +1

      Lellobeetle I'll answer both questions here. To keep the coals on top I use a rack I made from a coat hanger. I have some much nicer ones being made, but they won't be ready for about a month. You can see the one I made here at 4:44 czcams.com/video/9FdVIxQ_Qw0/video.html
      Most of the mixes are for an 8x8" pan so even with the 16cm set up some will go to waste. With the 14cm pan most mixes would make two batches. So either way you should be fine.

    • @Lellobeetle
      @Lellobeetle Před 9 lety +1

      Okay, that really helps me. I'm going with the Z16, I believe, and I can wait to order when you have that last piece made up because my next camping trip isn't until late September/early October to Allegheny National Forest. As usual, thanks for always being such a great help! You have some of the best products out there.
