- Destiny - Solo Oryx Kill On Titan - No Death Solo Oryx / Sword Blocking + Touch of Malice Strat. Just a quick video showing how to Solo Oryx in the King's Fall Raid on a Titan game play. Details below:
Since Rise of Iron has come out, it made Solo Oryx on Titan possible. This is due to two reasons: Bomb damage doing significantly less to players, and the other being the most important - Touch of Malice keeps Oryx's chest open longer than normal weapons. What this means is that you no longer require perfect timing on shooting Oryx to keep his chest open while swapping to sword and detonating bombs. It gives a lot more leeway now, making the solo entirely possible.
This has been "theoretically" possible in TTK, however back then the timing was much tighter and bomb damage obviously higher. The biggest issue before was keeping his chest open longer for the bombs to do damage while sword blocking. We knew a while back that Sleepr Simulant kept his chest open for ~4 seconds after hitting it, and the same with Celestial Golden Gun. Neither of which were realistic for use on a Titan. But now that Touch of Malice does the job, it is significantly easier.
This honestly wasn't that difficult now that Rise of Iron is out - took me about 1-2 hours on normal mode to get it. Hard Mode is where the real challenge is at! His chest doesn't stay open as long (requires you to do more ToM damage) and Knights mess up your overshield all the time. Will be working on that next.

5:14 bungie cannot do math, if you look at his heavy ammo count, it says 47. He then proceeds to pick up a heavy ammo pack granting him +2 ammo, 47+2=49 right? Wrong. According to bungie, it equals 50
It probably granted something like 2.8 heavy ammo, so it just rounds up to even out

Well done! I just ran that raid for the first time last night and it took us 3.5 hours from start to finish (including people rage quitting and time needed to replace them, as well as wipes). That was very fun to watch.

You show us the shit that people like Datto and many others probably would not do. What I see here is that the relic is not even essential in the entire fight. you can just do it without it. As long as you have one bubble with armor of light and a sword that can block the damage. Ofcourse the relic thing is easier for an entire team to stay alive, but its still some nice knowledge on how to beat such a raid. Wished that video came out like a year ago. then I could justify it to people to not wipe when one dies and that you just switch some tatics a little bit. :D

Can this be done without touch of malice on titan? I've seen Gladd and a few others do no touch of malice or no sleeper, but they're on their warlock (self-res). It might be obvious, but I'm just curious since I don't frequent Kings Fall
