I'm pretty sure this is everything the mod was supposed to have, except for Sonichu was added as a troll & faker not included. A lot of the ets are most likely fanmade, but some are unused ets from the official build. I tried to compile a list of credits since the unfinished build didn't have the full thing. I disable the miss sound effects so the music plays out perfectly. This will be the last time I play this build since we have seen it all. I'm not gonna play the 5.0 unless new songs are added or there is major changes.

I dont think we can really call this mod fully unfinished anymore. I think the community has completed what it can, and its actually kinda nice
it's kind of ironic about this mod's development mirroring the actual sonic games development
1.0 was a great start (Sonic 1)
2.0 was a fantastic follow-up (Sonic 2 - Adventure 2)
3.0 fell apart due to internal conflicts (Heroes and 06)
4.0 fans gathered to make it right again (Mania)
heroes was atleast good, 06 was just getting faded though development

This will be the completed version of this monster of a mod. There’s so much to unpack here, so many references. Let’s all be thankful that the original devs got as much done as they did, and that THIS may very well have been what they wanted it to end up being. Also, Encore BF is adorable. This is so insane, not only did this have everything that was unfinished finally get that polish they needed but they even brought back cool concepts like Chaotix, Luther, and Satanos too! It's still unfortunate that the official mod got cancelled but I'm thankful that a good amount of beta sketches and songs was shared publicly so the community could reach the finish line for the dev team. And god, the amount of content the original developers were striving for is crazy, I couldn't imagine working on that much stuff. They bit off more then they could chew sadly. The amount of effort it must've taken to finish the incomplete content shouldn't be overlooked. We didn't even have a song made for Devoid for example. I've also been wanting a Manual Blast showcase on this channel since that song was first found (it was nearly completed gameplay wise). guess I finally got that with this restoration too. Though the static screen is quite distracting for that particular revamp.

@@TitoVladez115 For your first question yeah a gigachad revived/completed this mod, and it was in fact just one person and it's the person Community Games pinned. I don't know who leaked the mod, but I hope they stub their toe tonight.
I got a theory for the Final Escape mod:
After Boyfriend defeated Sonic. exe/Xenophanes and his army of puppets in Triple Trouble, Boyfriend and Girlfriend finally get out of the haunted cartridge. But not before Xenophanes said "Come back here! I'm not done with you yet!" Hence why he reached for Boyfriend in the mod, and pulls Boyfriend into the game again. And that's when the REAL final battle begins. With Boyfriend's survival, he must succeed! Once he had beaten Xenophanes, the curse was broken. And everyone was free from the Demon's grasp!
I know these two hours will be worth it. I really love this community ❤️

The first reason I love fanmades is that they are more or less smooth, more songs more rock and other music in the background, it makes the mod more efficient, cooler. Continue in the same spirit.

Hmph. Of course there’s always someone out there who believes that the unfinished, cancelled, mod shouldn’t go out the way it is. Someone else will pick up the pieces and try to bring it back, so they can actually complete it. Seems FNF is not the only one that wants to restore mods.

When the original v3 build got canceled, on one hand I was sad, but on the other I knew deep down that the FNF community wouldn't just let a big mod like Sonic.EXE just die out like that
I'm so happy to be able to test out the best cancelled mod. Sadly some are fanmades and there isn't everything since I guess the devs wanted to make more than just songs and sprites but atleast be have good bangers !
I hope Mario madness and Mario PC port will take a good lead now.

I love how much detail these creators put in these mods I didn't think I would see Sonic. Exe ever again but thanks to this wonderful person for updating this mod and many more. I can tell this is a very long mod since its like almost 3 hours half but I love to see effort put in this. Also this mod is very detail can we just take a moment to respect that?

My guy really did an amazing job creating this. This is a masterpiece, the sonic.exe mod had so much stuff that they wanted to add. Futagami did all of this, I am absolutely amazed! Futagami really did something truly amazing. The sonic.exe mod probably was one of the biggest mods out there, it was going to get so much updates. I can’t believe it!

Dunno if there's any plans to update this much further, but adding what credits you can find out for sure on the unfinished songs would be a respectful addition. Especially considering some of these are fanmade--namely Cycles ENCORE. That's a fan version created by DanlyDaMusicant and LICOMBA.
