The Shorrock/Birtles/Goble harmonies I'd probably rank as the best matched 3-part vocal combination in 20th century popular music. Bee Gees, ABBA, Eagles...yes, all superlative - but the precision, tightness and complementary timbres of the original LRB lineup is an absolute joy to behold.
Me too. The band's electricity shrunk when he left. Furthermore, I wish that David, George, and Derek would have joined Beeb, Glenn, & Graham in 2003 for the full circle concert and name that band with the last names.
