I actually started crying when I heard hyunjin replying to the stay who shared their story about their father's health because the fact that his one reason for studying english is to communicate with his fans and he was able to do that with such sincerity and clarity really impressed me and he never fails to surprise me with how much he improves. I know he has both bang chan and felix as well as other members who are also very good at english, but learning a language really takes a certain type of motivation and it just proves how much he loves stays.
I know! It was so amazing and my father has been sick as well and he is now paralysed in his legs and the fact that Hyunjin said that was very touching to me and that all of Stray Kids care so much about their fans. It is so beautiful that the ones who can’t speak English very well try to communicate anyways for STAY. I am a proud stay ❤️❤️❤️

When Hyunjin is talking about something serious, or sad, you can see how much he really cares. He try's his very best to say everything correctly, and it shows. He has wonderful pronunciation, and it makes me so happy to see that when he makes minor mistakes, he tries to correct them to his best ability. He does just that.

In a year or two he’ll be fluent . His pronunciation was always on point and his grammar is actually good , he just needs to be confident that’s all. So proud of him ... he went from “your behavior is so ughhh” to giving freaking counseling sessions in english . So proud of him.
i can't wait until he can express all the thoughts he has to share in english. he's doing so, so well. my dumb butt was crying, and i know i'll be sobbing at some point.

what i’ve noticed is that he chooses his words very carefully to express himself! it really shows how thoughtful he is and how much he really cares that he puts so much effort into speaking in english for us!
To those who felt inspired by hyunjin to learn korean as he is working hard to learn english, I recommend "talk to me in korean" or ttmik here in yt. They helped/are helping me a lot to improve. Be sure to start with lesson 1 if youre a real beginner to not overwhelm yourself. Having a notebook where you can jot down notes as you watch/listen helps (at least for me). Lets learn korean together :)

@@Happy-stayLet me give you a tip, Duolingo is not for learning languages, it's more a Quiz app to test how much you know, if you want to learn Korean I recommend this app called Busuu, it amazing! I can already read, write and type in Korean and it's only been like 5 months!

This is very true, sometimes I teach English to Spanish speakers and they don't really want to talk because they're not very fluent yet, so one day I showed them some clips of Hyunjin because I thought he was a great example about trying to express your ideas with the knowledge you have, that's how all learners start after all. I think it did help because my students were not so self-conscious anymore, although now they keep asking to see more videos of that cute guy😂

I said this exact thing in another comment as well but the subtitles actually added many more mistakes than he actually made. I speak English fluently and I heard only one mistake at the concert (I'm referring specifically to the concert btw). They did him dirty.

I read someone else's comment that said that his pronunciation is really good but he just needs time to explain himself which I totally agree with. His vocabulary may be limited but his pronunciation is pretty on point and honestly, I personally feel like proper pronunciation is what will make you sound more fluent vs someone who knows more words but has a heavier accent.

No one is really talking about this but the way he described dealing with insomnia was very relatable. Even when he was at a loss of words and had a difficult time expressing his thoughts, I felt like I could still understand what he was trying to express. You can see that he’s improved a lot. I love hyunjin but it’s moments like these that make me fall in love with him (and the rest of the members) all over again
I love how he’s dedicated to communicating with fans and taking his time to learn English! He’s better than me at it and I’m English- but the members are all so supportive towards him and help him if he’s ever stuck, they’re all the best!!

Hyunjin is one of the people that inspire me. He doesn’t give up, he always wants to learn. He learnt English, when he really didn’t have to, but he got better and better, he draws , he has so many aspirations and I hope he gets to explore them all. He’s just a whole definition of “do not give up “

I am a very new fan and at first to me he seemed kind of standoffish and cold but the way he responded to they Stay with the sick father was so heartwarming. He seemed to genuinely care and looked upset.💕💕
Stage presence can be really misleading. Equally, kai from exo and taeyong from nct get a lot of hate because they seem cold and arrogant on stage but that's nothing like how they are irl - they're very kind, caring and friendly.

hyunjin is learning english for strays but we are learning korean for stray kids. i used to do korean lessons as a kid but gave up after a while. straykids really gave me so much more motivation to continue

This was my favorite video that anyone has ever made of Hyunjin. Thank you for taking the time to edit this. My favorite part was his quick kiss blow in between cutting to each new scene. I've never seen him look more gorgeous than in that little quick few seconds
