Doing my first turbo build, and I'm super inexperienced with this stuff. This cleared up the questions I had. Thanks. I too have boxers BTW 😅

What if i purchased this flange and it still allows oil to come out..? getting to the point where im going to put RTV on this high tech flange because i cannot keep oil from pushing its way out from in between the turbo and the fitting. Frustrated as this is the 5th return line flange/configuration I've used without any luck stopping this issue.

I rub a thin layer of Honda bond on every oil drain gasket, let it dry completely and it'll never leak and you can reuse it.

Nice vid. Just ordered one up! I have mine apart now and didn’t realize that I shouldn’t reuse the little paper gasket

RTV is fine so long as you're not idiot about it. More is definitely not better. If people would just follow the instructions on the tube RTV works well as a sealant for a turbo drain however there are better options out there, as we see here.

I personally use the rtv on drain gaskets and just like you mentioned if you apply it correctly everything should be fine.

I tried this return oil with o-ring and the leak is always here, no difference with paper gasket. any idea ?

Why would these be illegal for road use as mentioned on the sale page?

very nice! I WISH all of them were like this. So stupid using a standard gasket for such a critical item.

I can name one turbo company that told me to use rtv on the drain which I refused to. They told me their surface was flat and the factory was not and also my aftermarket drain flange was not either. So I sent their turbo back and went with a better turbo company

Rob Rohe we have a 12AN version for the large and mid frame. To run a 12an and fit in a small to mid frame it’ll have to be an extended length piece. We will be working on one for the near future

Was this really just you trying to sell me that flange or were you actually trying to tell me about turbo oil drain, what about the engine side of the line, under oil line or over? Why not directly next to oil pickup... Not very informative video sorry, all i learned was that you really want me to buy that flange you yappin about.
