- This is the fulfillment of a request to go to an antique store and rummage through vintage jewelry. Most of the jewelry was in plastic baggies so it wasn't quite what I wanted but....I like it okay. Definitely made me relaxed and sleepy. I hope it works for you too and the requester.

As a child if we were misbehaving my grandmother used to make us sit on the floor and sort out this old tin of buttons and beads.
We all dreaded that punishment.
Only now as an adult do I understand how it worked.
It calmed us down and made us sleepy. She was a genius!

I remember also sorting buttons when I was a small child but most likely it was so my mother could accomplish a task without me. I absolutely loved this task and was sad once the buttons were all sorted.

When I was younger, I always had a huge obsession with antiques and older styled things and would always rummage through jewelry bins at second hand stores or garage sales and this took me right back to childhood ☺️

I don't exactly know what the accepted practice is for requests, so please forgive me if this isn't the right way. My hope is that you will translate my little story into a video.
My first realization that I enjoyed and found relaxing certain sounds was in high school. It was the mid-1960s, after a test (history, English - I don't remember what the class was). There was about 15 minutes left before the bell rang, so those who finished early had to sit quietly at their desks until then. A short time after I finished, a girl sitting near me began going through her purse. I don't know if she was looking for something in particular, or just biding her time until the bell. I noticed very quickly that I liked the leisurely way she went through the contents of her bag. She would find a folded piece of paper, unfold it, read it, then fold it back up to slip it in one of several pockets of the purse. There was some lotion she twirled the cap off and it made that puttering noise it makes when squeezing a dab into her palm, then the sound of her rubbing it in, with some of it being rubbed also onto each elbow. She might of had a compact that snapped open and closed, maybe patting the powder onto her cheeks or just checking herself in the little mirror.
It was maybe the second or third time I saw her do this routine before I realized I would seek out a seat near her purposely, in hopes that my senses would be treated to the sensations of her going through her purse. It was always different, but always the same. It put me in a trance. I told a girlfriend this story years ago and she used it to help me once in a while when I was stressed over something about work. And she was very subtle about it - it didn't seem like she was pretending, I almost believed she was actually looking for something in her purse.
You might have already made a purse rummaging video, I don't know. I have watched many on other channels and might have even watched one you made. Some I've seen were okay or even good, but none I can remember captured the various sounds and variety or naturalness of the act. Anyway, I do enjoy many of your videos very much. You help this 70-year old man relax and have introduced several new sounds that I have enjoyed since I discovered your channel a few months ago. Thank you.

So graceful and elegant ALL of them! And the sounds they made as you touched them - Loooord have mercy, what a delight to my ears!! 3. I found it bizarrely satisfying to see you actually buying some of them! I'm not sure why, it wasnt as if it was me buying them😁😁, but I felt sooo satisfied to see you put some away to take them home with you!! I just loooved it! So divine! ! 😁😁😁 4. I think I'm turning into a telepath!!😁😁😁 I could tell, by the way your hands were touching them, which jewels you were going to buy and which not - BEFORE you actually showed us that you were going to buy them!! I was like " Okay, she likes this one, it's exactly her taste, she's gonna buy it!" and you were!! And " yeah, she likes it, but she wont buy it" etc 😀😀😀 It was huuuuge fun to see I was right in all cases!! Hehehe! 5. Also another immensely satisfying thing was to see you pick exactly the same jewels I would have picked if I'd been there!!!! Soooo cool!! 6. The plastic bags added tones of tingles to the whole experience! I really enjoyed watching your hands open them and put the jewels back onto them, and the sounds were purely majestic ! I sure love your comments. I am not surprised at all that you could tell which items I would buy. I don’t know if it’s telepathy as much as you are just starting to know me in a more personal way. In any case, some of the items I did not buy after all. When I got to the counter I realized I had spent too much money. So a few items had to go back.
Next week I am putting up a whispered show and tell of the jewelry that I bought plus the jewelry that the owner just gave me for free. I really like it. You might too. But maybe not as much as this one. I was so hot in the store that I think I moved a little more quickly that I might normally have. My hot flashes were killing me! 😂

This is AMAZING, thank you! Maybe you could do one of plastics, toys/figures (something of that nature) in plastic bins? The makeup sort is nice too but the glass on glass can be alarming😉 It’s Something I just realized I personally find extremely soothing along with the sounds in this video. Maybe every other cut scene it could switch back and forth. This is great though, thank you! Just some personal thoughts. I’m certainly not trying to critique, I love what you do!

The purse at about 12:00 is a 1930s Whiting & Davis "beggars" bag. They can go for upwards of $300 online, possibly more depending on the dealer. You may want to snag it and re-sell it. 😁

Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction You’re very welcome. This one is in great shape. Either from a collector, or part of an estate inheritance. Normally, they’re much more tarnished. For anyone wondering, after you open the cap, the “neck” opens up like an accordion making the opening about 3-4” wide. Just put your fingers in the opening and widen them. Really nest bag. Definitely a great find.
Oh man, this brings back memories of my mom and I shopping together. She would knowingly joke, “I know where you’re headed!” She knew I loved looking at the jewelry.

I love vintage shops. I usually go for pottery/ceramic: Hall dishware (Autumn pattern and red poppy pattern), white Indiana milk glass and Fenton hobnail. I often wonder about the person who had it before me. How did it end up in a shop?

I do remember once my mom bought me a pink unicorn. It was a toy from the antique shop. I begged my mom for it. This was back then when I was like 10

I don’t have an online store. All these items are for sale at this particular antique store in Franklin, Kentucky. The shop is called Heritage antique shop.

Hi Rebecca, I am not sure what would be a good retail price, I'll ask my wife, this is her type of business. As far as where you could resell it, I guess on line somehow, maybe e-bay, or Etsy, if you have an account with those mechanisms. Is there a "Craig's List" out there in Tennessee? It was just that particular booth. It was so hot that day in the store I could hardly stand it, so I sat on the floor with this one and never moved on. Next time I do an antique jewelry video I will wait until winter! lol 😂 I have the perfect store in mind and I can’t wait to film.

I was also thinking just now… that it probably decreases theft. But yeah, seems an illogical way to sell jewelry. Lots of people do it this way in these stores. Lots of people leave it completely out, unlocked. 50/50.

This really hurts my feelings Tamara. How do you know I didn’t close the bags? Honestly, this is a trivial complaint. And I will tell you the truth, it was too hot in there to close the baggies while I was filming. I needed to wait until I was finished.

(& FYI- this antique rummage is probably my favorite right now it's very tingly )... I'm probably your biggest fan! I dont know, I love to watch my ASMRs daily to relax,& they put me to sleep 9 times out of 10 . & I would just rather watch yours than any of the others So that's probably why I'm on your mind. It's an energy exchange we have going on here. .... Again i'm so sorry for hurting your feelings! I really am! ...I'm also sorry I didn't ever send the roosters/chickens to u like I said I would. My grandma passed around that time & she was a big loss for me ! ...I still have them & I'll send them as soon as I get better. Me and my son have been really sick! We tested negative for covid, but we haven't been this sick in long time!!

I hear you Gonzalo! I appreciate the sentiment. However, I probably won’t slow down in my pace! This is my most natural and slowest way possible to handle these pieces of jewelry. I have to be true to myself. Especially in a place that is so extremely warm and uncomfortable.
