The techno name is so over used for generic pop or dance, hard to know what video here will be real or not, fortunately this video is REAL techno
That's funny... I call it GENERIC techno. They shouldn't call it techno unless it was played in the underground clubs. Like NYC, the Limelight.
If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.
Mislabeled music is probably one of the best ways to discover music though. People now and days can specifically control exactly what they are listening to. Not like the morpheus and limewire days. You could get a virus or something you've never heard, but works.

I enjoy a newer micro-genre called Dreamcore, look it up and you will find two entirely different music styles, one is an Ethereal DNB/Jungle style, and the other is very slow melodic dark trap/semi-alternative style, this is because Dreamcore is often mixed up with Weird core respectively, so it can be difficult to discern the two, but i love that they get mixed all the time because i love both styles, yay mislabeling!

I wonder if the masses will be well-off enough to spend so much time and money getting off their faces and having such ecstatic collective moments ever again, or whether there'll even be the infrastructure to support it. Looks like the future is going to be pretty dystopian - gig economy, alienated life, living in a pod, anxiously awaiting Next Product to define your identity, and eating the bugs :)

Definitely a Roland TR-909 or 808 (drums) and TB-303 (acid loops etc) with reverb and delay effects, paired with a nice sequencer with plenty of samples. There's several good videos of making techno "the oldskool way" on CZcams. If you want to get some nice kit, get a Roland Boutique series remake- TR-09/08 and TB-03 to get started. They're ~$400 USD each compared to the originals, which got for $5,000 apiece.
