    Since I don't have access to a waterpoint apart from a tap, this video was very helpful, thank you! Ill be ordering a IK 1.5 on payday.

      garden sprayer(already can handle ph, since garden chemicals are pretty nasty)
      put bicycle valve stem on it, hook on a battery pump for bicycles, set it to roughly 30 psi., excess will vent to air.
      drill size 11.5
      total price, less than $50, if you have the drill bit.
      to make a thicker foam, you can either stuff in some stainless steel wool(dish washing), or fine steel wool, don’t pack it too tight.
      put it in the wand or before the tip, but not too close to the tip.
      then on the plastic tube, inside the tank, take it off, 1 inch before the screw on, poke a hole with a thumb tack or any pin, its the perfect size.
      just 1 hole is enough, if you think you screwed up, melt it with lighter, close it, try again.
      the hole is there to mix the solution with air inside the tank.

      if you want an even thicker foam, search up aircrete. its the one with plastic syringes as the tip.

      I like using the budget stuff in certain reviews and doing test on cheaper things like machine polishers because I believe everyone should be able to afford to enjoy a hobby so testing the cheaper products to see if they are worth buying is always fun

    Brilliant video pal, I have a pressure washer but there are days when I just can't be bothered to get it out. I actually used an ordinary trigger bottle to apply my snowfoam just to some heavily soiled areas, so maybe the bottom third of my car, and I was genuinely shocked at how effective it actually was. Decent snow foam does make a difference!! One that actually cleans (because some are all foam and no action!)

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 2 lety +1

      If you want not see a foam that cleans head over and check out the iDetail pro snowfoam that I reviewed not long ago z but also their PREWASH spray is a must if you don't have time to foam iv recently uploaded a short little video of that in action too

    I think the main problem with the DIY sprayer is the nozzle, If you could change the nozzle out for a fan one it should work better.

    I'll try the 1:5 ratio in my DIY pump. Right now it's spluttering a lot and not really spraying far. Thanks!

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 2 lety +1

      In a pump sprayer you can dilute a little more as it's not mixing with water like it does though a pressure washer ☺️

  • @carlosb1
    @carlosb1 Před měsícem

    Guys there is only so much foam you can put on your car before you just start wasting product and the pressure washer is not the exception. You don't need half an inch on foam on you car. Just enough to touch you paint is enough. The important part is that it sticks to the paint and works to dislodge the nasty grime. Also if you wash your car often pressure washer is overkill. Of course the great thing about it is the quickness you can wash your car with.

    Good review. I've got a pressure washer. But looking for a decent APC sprayer. That won't make your hand ache.

    • @TheHairyHouseWife
      @TheHairyHouseWife  Před 3 lety +1

      A pump sprayer would be the way forward , if your just wanting to lay your APC down and don't want a foam then cheap pump sprayer from and discount store would suffice... If you want a foam then the ik foamer is the way forward ... Only issue with the ik foamer is you don't get alot of spray time , but the Handle is comfortable to use and feels decent quality .... And the cheap sprayers feel a little flimsy but they do the job and are cheap .. the hand foaming fuck sprayer is good but after 6 pumps in a row I notice my hand started to ache but it is very effective

    • @Bikertyke
      @Bikertyke Před 3 lety +1

      @@TheHairyHouseWife I tend to use APC as a first hit. Followed by snow foam. Then a shampoo via pressure washer before I do contact wash. I'm not a detailer. Just for our own car. But I want to keep it looking good. Thanks for the reply.
