discovered this artist a year ago, listening every day
SINGING SAW as a whole is wonderful. One of the many MORBY CLASSICS. And "Mountain"' is of course a fantastic song.
Yay - "The Dawn Wall" was great ! I was so overjoyed and exhilarated when Kevin overcame pitch 15 !
I feel that 💯 The Dawn Wall has gotta be one of my favorite documentaries
The Dancing , acting, production is probably the best I believe I've personally enjoyed. Brilliance I laughed hard, another part entertained the genius. Great Artistry.
Still one of the best songs ever, the music video scares me but Nathan Mitchell is such a beautiful dancer
Nathan mitchell
What scares you about it?
Tnx for the name of the artist
This is amazing! The times when Kevin Morby was a lesser known gem are passe. I guess this was inevitable.
+Pranay Sethi Saw him a couple years ago in Richmond...maybe 20 people came out. Good to have those days over. He is no longer classifiable as "60s" or "psychedelic," despite the strong Opal-influence I'm hearing in his first album, not to mention the lingering trace of Dylan-ism, both of which are fine by me. Anyhow, I'm here to call attention to a piece of mine on the whole 2009-present sixties-ish scene I just posted--it features 4-5 Morby songs. www.nationalreview.com/postmodern-conservative/435260/carls-rock-songbook-no-119-todays-sounds-sixties
this video is gold
but still wont stop smoking. its too busy on this thing.
what a dancer that guy!
Those moves tho...I love the edge of abandon in them. Liberation in death and all that fun stuff
2:20 that guitar part give me goosebumps
Yeah it gave goosebumps
The Bass!
The song!
Calling out
Demanding answers
Pleading skies
Cry for hours
Dropping peace bombs
Collecting prayers
A sky that mirrors
A sky that stares as I sing
I have been to the mountain
And I have walked on his shore
I have seen but I can't see him no more
Round 'em out, make an echo
Destroy the destroyer
And do it fast
That man lived in this town
Til that pig took him down
And have you heard the sound
Of a man stop breathing, pleading?
I have been to the valley
And I have sung all her songs
Watch me sing
Watch me sing along
And I say
Wow, what an incredible bass sound. Great overall production as well.
The bass is fantastic! Makes the song, in my opinion.
kevin said himself that he really likes the bass in this song :D
guns of Brixton bass line
It's something between Guns of Brixton and Slow Cheetah by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Anne Marie Nester it’s close but not quite the same. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s intentional
We are dancing around the room with this one....It's on repeat.
I absolutely love this music!
Insanely good!
Love this video... the living look bored and stale, but the departed soul is dancing and having fun, liberated.
The bass tone: *chefs kiss*
The guitar solo: the cherriest of cherries on top
This is my favourite song right now.
I love how Kevin pops up in different bits of the video. Such a great song and aye the dancer is great.
I know it's so cool😊
A masterpiece, mr. Morby! (y)

GLORIOSO
BENDITO
THANK YOU
Four years ago Sneaky Pete brought me here, I'm back for more and I realized this song sounds eerily similar to
"The Guns of Brixton" by The Clash.
Lovin it !!
Good taste in music, brought me here 😘
Inbloodydeed!
This is pure creativity
Wild Wild Country brought me here.

The Dawn Wall is a beautiful movie and this is a beautiful song.
Young people, the future....is ours!
Wild wild country brought me here. OSHO Forever.💞💞
oh my f*** god, best music video i have ever seen. all the senseless greatness of life and the unbearable pain of wanting to die combined.
I really love this video. It’s super well done, beautiful, funny, haunting

I laughed and was totally into this Masterpiece. Dance superb, choreography and film everyone who were the team supreme. XXX
old lady in the wheelchair must have had the hardest time trying not to laugh
I think it's a fucking brilliant take on what our soul does when we die - the guy dancing is the spirit that came out of the body that just died, hence the title "I have been to the mountain" and it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.
I guess some people just have no appreciation for avant garde videos. It was obviously very low budget but lots of fun...
Altough I like your interpretation, it seems a lot less gritty, I personally think that the video depicts the guy desperately trying to get back to the living, get attention/ interaction. He has
to come to term with the fact that hes dead, explaining his depressed look at the end. He is simply ripped out of live no chance to come back again, hes OUT.
To me in the end it kinda shows the finality of death, in light of the lyrics being about Eric Garner who was suffocated by a policemen you can also see it as a depiction of how unjust this is, for him to be just ripped out of life like that.
Again im not saying that your interpretation is right, I just wanted to write this down since it made sense to me.
Awesome song! Fantastic video!
I love this. (Exclamation mark omitted for emphasis.)
This is the outro to the documentary ‘The Dawn Wall’, which mesmerised me on what was meant to be a square-eyed idle night; so I had to look up the song. And it and the video have mesmerised me anew. Hats off to this wonderful thing.
This sounds so good!
O time dessa música é magnifico cara. Kevin é incrível, não é ato que é meu cantor favorito estrangeiro.
Best song so far Morby! Love the video :3
Took me closer to home XXX Deeply Thankyou
This video is amazing!!....
INCREIBLE
That bass and Wild Wild Country brought me here!
Fantastic!
Exactly what I needed to hear right now.
Thanks for your amazing talent Kevin Morby.
How about touring in France?
I've watched this video so many times
Love the solo
I think the video is great. The voice is cool. The beat is absolutely to groove .. like the music of easy going Kevin Morby! also Har.Riv. very nice!
Avec la danse du gars dans l'hôpital, c'est juste parfait.
Great song!!!! " Dawn Hall"
Nailer of a song ❤
so good.
¡ excelente ! Thanks
The dislike ratio (for those who wanted to know) is probably because the song is about the death of Eric Garner caused by a NYPD officer putting him in a chokehold while arresting him.
''Round 'em out, make an echo
Destroy the destroyer
And do it fast
That man lived in this town
Til that pig took him down
And have you heard the sound
Of a man stop breathing, pleading?''
Eric Garner was a thug. He resisted arrest. He was choked out for something like 20 seconds. Ive endured choke holds lasting for 30 seconds plus. Anyway, the chokehold did not kill him. The officer did his job, and well at that. www.newsmax.com/newsfront/eric-garner-chokehold-grand-jury-police/2014/12/04/id/611058/
Richard Sneed he was put in a chokehold for selling cigarettes and died as a result of his injuries after telling the office he couldn’t breathe. If you think that’s an acceptable way for law enforcement to act then you’re part of the problem.
@Jason R you are ... funny, stupid, naive, choose wisely! Music has is ways to become... whatever
I just don't like it, but I have to put up with it at work.
@@TheEightBitLink what's that?
Love this sound
masterpiece
The Dawn Wall brought me here :)
Jaysus, this is excellent
Splendida canzone, splendido video. Grazie.
Great song! The bass line reminds me of the one from the chorus of Slow Cheetah by RHP.
Hands In Pockets exactly what I was thinking
Climbing mountains bought me here..... :)
My favourite song
Molto bella la canzone, molto bello il video. Grazie.
*ABSOLUTE GENIUS*
🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐
very good music and video :)
So nice song! Greetings from "the new" Brazil!
I love this dancer
Wild Wild Country
Matthew Thompson Same here... I don’t know how but that song and choir fit so perfectly with it ! Like a mantra.
2:54 i love the last part of the video and music especially 3:19
This kind of music video is what you get when commercialism is taken out of the entertainment industry. The new generation of small budgeted independent artist can release whatever they want, even when it’s way too real..
Very cool
Wild wild country!
I just realized you had a CZcams channel 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hello Kevin, I love your music 🌻
That guitar solo holy shitttt
That is one interesting music video!
great!
Great video.
Just found about him today. Reminds me a lot of My Morning Jacket, 2016 is gonna be his year though.
great video man
Anyone else hear some Rodriguez influence in this?
“Drinking from a Judas cup looking down but seeing up sweet red wine. Crooked children yellow chalk writing on a concrete wall their king died.”
Wtf this deserves wayyy more views
Pitch 15!!!
yes ⚘❤🎼
tout est génial dans ce clip, musique, performance du danseur..
What a fab concept. Also, the dancer looks trained in ballet :D
wow!!
Why do I get the feeling the priest in the beginning washes his hands with strawberry milk
this is AWESOME. ORIGINAL.
