    Glad you addressed the Tril Loc issue. I've enjoyed the vids, having my own SP and EMB shop for 2.5 years. I saw it from the other perspective where the seller could have felt you were trying to get a refund because it didn't fit, then add that's it's defective later. Mikes pretty active on forums and Digitsmith so I wouldn't imagine he'd sell a defective unit on purpose, especially to someone with strong social media pull. Glad it sounds like you got it sorted. Spot Color Supply for S mesh. Love their screens.

      Exactly, not his fault I didn't ask. and as far as the buster frame he is helping get it fixed so that I can resell the thing.

    For the approval process you could add a box that the customer could check to receive text messages on the progress of the order, that way it would notify him when the mockup is ready for approval

    I think Ryan was right it was hard to find info on screennprinting i used to checkout ryonet, and cat spit because the screenprinters in my town were some lames. I guess trial and error and learning by your mistakes is next best thing. Your channel has good insight thanks.

    • @ThePrintLife
      @ThePrintLife  Před 6 lety +2

      heck yea man, Most printers didn't give tips they just say things like don't set your prices to low, or yea this industry is tough, or yea growth is all about word of mouth. or that software aint gonna work the way you think it will. basically useless cliches.

    "I lost it...." lol well, that was awkward.
    I used to work in licensed collegiate apparel, and we were always balancing art approvals not only from individual bookstore managers, but also licensing approval from each university. We would HAVE to manage expectations that the turn around time doesn't begin until approvals have been finalized. Doing it that way also motivates the client to approve it faster as well.

    • @ThePrintLife
      @ThePrintLife  Před 6 lety

      Exactly in almost every case I do that now, sometimes especially with long time existing clients these things get passed over and that is were the mistakes happen.

    You should tell them X amount of days from approval of mock-up, not 10 day turnaround and on the 8th day they approve it, not a smart decision.

    • @emb5091
      @emb5091 Před 5 lety

      That's what I do, or if they need them done by a certain date, I tell them that I need final approvals by this date or else wont get done on time. We also communicate by text and phone calls, and less often by email.
