Great songs equal great memes. Not talking about the created memes on facebook. Talking about the real memes that Richard Dawkins described in "The Selfish Gene".
Georges / ringo / Jim Keltner / Klaus Voormann / Jesse ed davis / Éric Clapton / Léon Russel / Billy Preston , the others greats players on sax, all produced by Phil Spector. What a dream !
Dead music was resurrected again remember...never forget... Still gives me CHILLS....saw the movie I was 14 years old that year what a day at the movies...
I so totally agree. I saw the movie when I was 16. And, yes, this song and all that it means still gives me the chills. Me and a buddy smoked some hashish, and I literally had a transcendental experience listening to Ravi Shankar for the first 40 minutes of the show. For school, I wrote a paper about the concert, a poetic description. The last several lines of the paper were the first several lines of the song, Bangladesh. George provided a certain kind of example, for me, and the strains of devotion woven into his song My Sweet Lord awakened something inside of me, along with other things, that led to a lifelong practice of meditation and spiritual life. Things like hashish are not a part of that life, but instead spiritual intoxication. George recommended the masterpiece work Autobiography of a Yogi. A book that changed many lives. Including mine. Ggg.
The last song George wrote before leaving the band. Written about the tensions and proweress of so many great song writers/artists in the band. RIP George Harrison
Yesterday I was saying how much I loved Wawa, the gas station/convenience store. After saying it a few times, this wonderful, wonderful song came to mind. Thank you George.
I don't know, I have the original pressing of the original recording, and when you hear everything going on in that production, it's like hearing a servant of divinity.
When I was 21 years old and living in Earls Court London in 1968-69 we took LSD on a somewhat regular basis and when I was tripping heavy or somebody or something went past my eyes really fast we called that a wa wa and I always thought that was just our In Group of Acid Heads that said that. Maybe George knew one of our gang as he took a lot of Acid back then also. My 21st birthday cake had 21 hits of LSD in the icing of the Cake and I was the only one that didn't know until the Acid started coming on...Those days we thought would never end.
Yes, I do upload videos and music. However, the footage of this concert is blocked by CZcams copyright system, so I couldn't upload any footage for the concert. Hopefully, eventually, I can upload footage of the concert
If only apple would release this album again. But who knows when that will happen. Given that there are several different artists involved, I would say it is very unlikely.
@@thevideoandmusicpreserver4283 it was released on itunes and it’s probably the only way to listen to the album digitally without pirating since the album’s revenue goes to george harrison’s UNICEF charity
I saw the concert in Madison Square Garden. The evening performance. Ticket price was $4.50.
Dude, you’re my everlasting idol !

Just read his bio. Very good read.
sutil ..✌️
i honestly like this better because i don't like the wall of sound approach on the official one
A concert with no return, I wondre why there is no more any music like this anylonger, where is it gone, do we need another Vietnam ?
What about the George Harrison and Ravi Shankar introduction and Bangla Dhun?
Why is this not on streaming services 😢😢😢
Because all of the profits still go to Bangladeshi charities
Anyone know where the VIDEO is available??
It says VIDEO and music! ! Where is the video???

SORRY FOR THE SILLY QUESTION 😀BUT I WANT TO USE THIS SONG IN A PROJECT OF MINE IF YES WILL I GET COPPYRIGHTED TY FOR HELP
You will get copyrighted because of the fact this is copyrighted music by your video won't be taken down, you just won't make any money off that video
It is not your song, not your performance, and not your property. Using it without permission is theft.
Porque falta el primer tema Bangla Dhun? Ravi Shankar abre el disco después de la intro hablada. 🌪️🕉️🌪️
Isn't about time for Matt Stone and Trey Parker to have "A Concert For Starvin' Marvin"?
i feel dirty not giving my money to hear this
