As an aunt to three nephews and eight nieces, I wholeheartedly empathize with Kim's struggle to wrangle her kids. It's hard, full stop. I remember having to watch three of my nieces alone for four days when they were 9, 5, and 4 because my sister, who was a single mother, simply needed a break. Those four days showed me why she needed that break. Taking care of those girls alone for that relatively short period was stressful. But like you said, Rodney, that's the benefit of being an aunt/uncle: you can dip in and out. When you're a parent, you have to carry all of the burden until you get a break every now and then.
My neice has 3 girls (5yr, 2yr and 2 months) 🙄 She's 27, and is already worn out. She tries Her best, but she's always tired. And her patience can be short. Bd thinks it's acceptable to be a part time/weekend dad. Even when they were living together. My mother and I try to help her has much as possible. But momma's don't get a day off.

I’m CF as well but I was raised ol skool. I have friends & cousins who try to be the “cool mom” and they be getting dragged. With me, I don’t play with kids. Not in a domineering way but one which boundaries are set in love and with care. When I watch them and they pick up their kids, they’re shocked I got them like “Yes M’am, no M’am etc”. Kids will resent that lack of discipline when they get older. In my 30s and I know so many adults who feel like no one cared about them because their parents didn’t set any.

I use to watch “Keeping up with the Kardashians” when they first came out. There was a clip a few years ago after Kim and Kanye divorced where North stated that she liked being with her father more. Kim asked her why and she stated because he doesn’t have a huge house, Nannie’s, chefs, spends time with us, etc. She said they have a bedtime, their father spends time with them, they don’t have cameras everywhere, he doesn’t let them do everything, etc. Now, in my opinion, North is very much like her father and even Kim has said that, but kids need structure. When they grow up, yes they’ll have resources that others may not have, but they’ll appreciate time, structure and care more than anything else. So many parents now want to be their kids friends and not have a balance of being friendly, but a parent first.

I was asked to keep my niece for a couple of days due to a family emergency. Those two days turned into almost a week. I adore my niece, she’s really sweet, but I know I’m not cut out for full time parenting based on that. These kids will wear you OUT if you don’t stay on top of discipline. Kanye is a non factor at this point. Kim knew Kanye wasn’t fit for parenting way before they became a family of six. She wanted a big family with that man specifically and got her wish. As a former teacher and now child therapist I can tell you that children need structure and they need boundaries. Some of the children I taught that didn't follow boundaries have gone on to get themselves into terrible trouble. It broke my heart hearing a 16 year old I taught back in 2018 has been in and out of prison because his family didn't implement consequences for how he was behaving. Kids need consequences for their actions and boundaries help keep them safe 🤷🏾♀️

Yessss we got another sports cousin in here! Lol. I didn’t follow her career in college, but the few times I’ve watched, she has potential to be nice at passing. But I agree. I use to watch “Keeping up with the Kardashians” when they first came out. There was a clip a few years ago after Kim and Kanye divorced where North stated that she liked being with her father more. Kim asked her why and she stated because he doesn’t have a huge house, Nannie’s, chefs, spends time with us, etc. She said they have a bedtime, their father spends time with them, they don’t have cameras everywhere, he doesn’t let them do everything, etc. Now, in my opinion, North is very much like her father and even Kim has said that, but kids need structure. When they grow up, yes they’ll have resources that others may not have, but they’ll appreciate time, structure and care more than anything else. So many parents now want to be their kids friends and not have a balance of being friendly, but a parent first.
Sexy Red looks is dirty (to me) in terms of her appearance and music. I still don’t understand her claim to fame but the young kids like that product 🤷🏽♀️. Also you were spot on with Oprah’s example. I was asked to keep my niece for a couple of days due to a family emergency. Those two days turned into almost a week. I adore my niece, she’s really sweet, but I know I’m not cut out for full time parenting based on that. These kids will wear you OUT if you don’t stay on top of discipline.
Kanye is a non factor at this point. Kim knew Kanye wasn’t fit for parenting way before they became a family of six. She wanted a big family with that man specifically and got her wish. If Kim doesn’t do something now, they’re (especially North and Saint) going to turn out similar to King Harris. And there’s little more annoying and scary than an undisciplined and rich young adult.

Parenting is a struggle!! It’s not easy at any stage, you just learn to adjust and find a way to make it work until the next stage abruptly arrives 😂😂 I can’t imagine 4 children under 10! Having Nannie’s and child care don’t matter. It helps but you’re still momma and everybody is expecting you to be super woman while criticizing you! Learning 4 different personalities and trying to discipline them appropriately can be challenging. 1 child is challenging so I know 4 is! So I get it Kim’s life outside of being a mom is… highly criticized but her mom life seems over whelming! My heart goes out to all of us moms and mother figures!

As a former teacher and now child therapist I can tell you that children need structure and they need boundaries. Some of the children I taught that didn't follow boundaries have gone on to get themselves into terrible trouble. It broke my heart hearing a 16 year old I taught back in 2018 has been in and out of prison because his family didn't implement consequences for how he was behaving. Kids need consequences for their actions and boundaries help keep them safe 🤷🏾♀️
