I’m a 60s teenager. The Beatles and British Invasion made our days so exciting. I loved the Hermits, still see Peter every chance I get. I loved all their songs. But this song, and NO MILK TODAY, are my absolute favorites. They had greater range than just the “radio hits”. They made a big contribution to 60s music, and are still one of the top groups from that time.
The very first song I bought myself! I was 12! I played it ad nauseam, until my family very nearly strangled me, they were so sick of it! Still remember every word of the lyrics, now, 56 years later!

This was one of my favourite songs in the late 60's. Someone I worked with in my office, sat opposite me and sang this song to me! I saw Peter Noone perform in Florida in October, 2010. He was fantastic. After the show, I spoke to him and asked him why he hadn't sung this song. He said it wasn't a hit in the USA; just in the UK. It was great to chat to him; I got his autograph too and shook his hand. Bless him.
