LOVE Secrets! I stayed there in 2022 and came back for a longer stay for my anniversary in 2023. We enjoyed every moment and worth the splurging on the extra amenities!

Really appreciate it and glad my vlog is helpful ☺️ Unfortunately, we didn’t go to any clubs or do excursions (next time will definitely include them to get a fuller Cancun experience) but there’s definitely a lot to do from ATV riding, swimming with Dolphins, golf, tours/underwater tours, zip-lining, snorkeling, etc. For clubs, I’ve always heard Coco Bongo is a blast! Chicabal Sunset Club, Mandala, Mandala Beach, and The City are other good clubs I would have went to as well!

I realized that while I was making the video too 🤦🏽♀️ I wanted more clips of myself but I know next time to bring my portable phone stand with me so I can get a lot of outfit shots, ‘cause you know I like taking a billion pictures 🙃. I only know you and one other friend that don’t mind taking mad pics but y’all wasn’t there 🥺 I need to hire a patient photographer or something lol. I came across this video to see your review of gr Solaris. The second resort you mentioned looks stunning but def a different price bracket. From the lobby alone you can see it would cost more. Can you tell me the price diff between the two. Thanks!
The second one is absolutely more expensive than the first! The prices vary depending on dates/length of stay (and also your room choice) but I do remember the 2nd resort was twice the cost of the first resort for the Master Suite Ocean Front View with King Bed (it was probably around $3K from Fri-Monday in June for the 2nd resort, and $1.5K from Thurs-Mon for the first resort’s Ocean Front View Room w/ a filthy Jacuzzi - but we left the first night and got a refund). When you’re going on a vacation, you want your money’s worth and to actually feel like you’re on a vacation, so that extra money was ALL worth it!! Never settling on resorts/hotels anymore, save up for that comfort 🙌🏽 even if you may need to book your hotel + flight using payment plan services like Affirm, Klarna, Uplift, etc. it’s DEFINITELY worth it!!! 🥳
It’s definitely a hit for relaxing! It’s a miss on having entertainment/theme parties like the fun resorts have (example: Royalton CHIC Cancun is a party all-inclusive resort). At Secrets The Vine, they have one “club” that was very boring when I went; you basically needed to come with a large group to enjoy that club - otherwise you’ll probably find yourself dancing on the floor by yourself or with maybe 2-8 other people… they did have a pop-up Bingo game in the lobby for all to participate! But for total relaxation and a chill vibe, Secrets The Vine is a hit! Very clean, bright and upscale with great food options! I recommend visiting the hotel zone’s clubs/bars like Coco Bongo, Señor Frog’s, etc in order to have a fun time outside of Secrets The Vine 😊 but if you prefer a party type of resort that has entertainment, theme parties and pool parties, Royalton CHIC Cancun is the way to go (definitely get the Diamond Club access there) 🙌🏽 hope this helps!
Thank you! I definitely recommend Secrets The Vine Cancun! The ocean is clearer in the morning and will gradually have more seaweed as the day goes by, so I would definitely recommend going to the beach here before maybe 1-2pm. We definitely saw workers cleaning up the seaweed as well 🙂

I’m glad i watched your vlog because we wanted to try something new and gr solaris was on the list.. i think we’ll try temptations instead.

Yes! They refunded us for the rest of the nights, not for the night we stayed (should have clarified that in my video). Secrets The Vine Cancun is around double the room cost at GR Solaris Cancun (taking into account that we went for the Master Suite at Secrets instead of their cheaper rooms) - so it really depends on the room selected. But our room at GR Solaris was half the cost of our Master Suite at Secrets 😊 + it’s well worth it to splurge on the better/expensive room, trust me (as shown in my vlog lol)
At Secrets, the vibe is more on the laid back/relaxing side. Peaceful yet also entertaining at the same time (they play bingo in the lobby and have wine tasting, they played volleyball in the pool, they also put on a show in the pool when we arrived at the hotel) but the resort is definitely not a hyper and turn up hotel (unless you take part of their excursions and leave the resort for partying). They do have a Piano Bar where people were dancing and having a good time, but I would recommend going outside of the resort to party (Hotel Zone is where all of the bars/restaurants/clubs are!) 😊
At GR Solaris Cancun & Spa, it was a Deluxe Room-1 King Bed, Jetted Tub Oceanfront room. At Secrets The Vine Cancun, it was a Master Suite Ocean Front!
