Man Jackie was the best. I'm honestly so damn devastated and angry. Honestly I was totally rooting for her especially towards the end "What is even happening right now? The fuck is wrong with you all?" / "What we're just not going to talk about it? We just howl at the moon now and have fucking orgies? And somehow I'm the one who did something wrong!" - Literally!! The way they treated her before she died was just scary!
someone said that Laura Lee represented hope and faith and when she died, they all lost that. And Jackie represented civilization so now that she's dead... well, the rest of them are gonna lose that side of them too. im guessing the next death would be javi representing innocence? i hope not tho
I'm honestly kinda surprised how people are just saying "Jackie died of pride and ego, just her fault she's stupid" when it's way more deep. Of course she has some responsability about her death but the other girls basically "froze her out" like they said during episode 1. She was rejected by all the girls except Taissa (who is the only girl who doesn't buy the supernatural and Lottie shit right now). Jackie was also destroyed by Shauna, disliked by Lottie, Van, Nat, Misty and Mari. No one defended her. The girls were trying to rape and kill Travis just the night before but Jackie is the crazy one ?
Kind of crazy too how Shauna received lots of compassion by the fans but not Jackie. Their friendship was toxic, the two were bad for eachother but Shauna did the worst move. Just for that she's worse than Jackie who wasn't perfect at all and kinda of a bitch. But I love how flawed and human she was and how she evolved during this season. I love young Shauna too by the way but you can see how people hate so much the popular girl in Jackie's case. She was a brilliant character.
Honestly I don’t get either. Shuana was really in the wrong but okay. But yeah so was hoping she was the leader of the good group.

@@pyxelly0506 yeah, true Jackie had every right to be nasty to them after that, especially locking her in the closet and acting like it’s all behind them next day. Jackie wasn’t a saint, but they all did her horribly in the last episode. I hated it when that girl said “ Maybe you be better off, you know since we’re all so crazy !! “. That was beyond nasty right their.
I hope she comes back in season 2 as a ghost and haunts their asses.

She's so fucking precious, her voice, her eyes, her smile. Wtf. I'm only 2 episodes into this show, and she's got me rooting for her like crazy. Had to pause this edit cuz yk, don''t want spoilers but i'll finish watching it when i'm done with the series.

Listen, she was being unhelpful. But the way they treated her in the season 1 finale is just prime gaslighting. They got this close to killing a guy and then refuse to take responsibility for it and instead redirect the blame on her for having had sex with said guy which is, let's be honest, considerably less bad in comparison. She was a flawed person, but she didn't deserve to die and her death could've been avoided if they had been more self-aware.

I haven’t been able to watch much of the show, but it’s been a wild ride so far from what I’ve seen. Idk if the creators have said that her death was official, and it seems that there may be a supernatural element involved. It’d be a pretty crazy plot twist if Jackie survived or was revived due to whatever supernatural thing are going to go on there. Or maybe they were stuck on some ancient Native American burial ground or something. It’ll be cool to see what they come up with.
Listen I love the show but let's be honest, Taissa & Van (love them) couldn't even pull the gay chemistry that shauna/Jackie had. Even Ella said in an interview, she wished the writers made them have a secret love thing. They didn't have to kiss or other things like TY/Van or Nat/Travis but their chemistry surpassed both couples somehow. 😍🆒️

@@greenpenguin A LOT of fans were trying to say that it was Shauna being jealous/envious of Jackie in the beginning but I really think deep down she wanted her as a lover cause she never really loved Jeff and let's not forget how upset she got when Jackie was trying to hook her up with Randy. 😜
@@franklinmelody1634 I read someone saying that Jackie and Shauna's relationship was one of those ambiguous relationships that could pass as platonic but that if they were between a man and a woman no one would ever doubt that it had a romantic undertone and I think there's no better way to put it.
Funny that you say that, cause when when Tai and Van hooked up, I thought, "Oh, that's weird. I thought they'd only have the one gay couple, but I guess there's two." It just seemed obvious that there was something going on with Jackie and Shauna.
@@Windupchronic I found it funny that Tai/Van didn't even know they were in a relationship shooting the pilot. I saw shauna/Jackie chemistry first episode. Tai/Van, I must admit, I didn't see until maybe the 3/4 episodes. Either way, I need Jackie back for this storyline lol

Jackie was out of her depth. While she may have been a good captain in civilization, she was unable to take control of their survival in the bush. They needed new leaders. This will come down to Lotti and Natalie. Jackie even says "I don't belong here." This is as though the other do. Do they? Jackie is a privileged princess. I don't think any of them belong in this situation. Jackie didn't pitch in, and she couldn't organize any of the survival strategies. Games of distraction, while appealing, don't put food in the mouth or heat a cabin. PS Jackie and Shauna were like sisters. Love and jealousy are normal parts of relationships between sisters. Tai and Val were lesbian. Good for them.

Nah, scratching all of that because Jackie is the symbol of civilization. She's practically the only sane one and Jackie is the only one who questions their ways and Shauna and the others who are in doubt of what they're doing is abnormal. She dies as the girls stray away from moral codes. R.I.P Snackie. And no, JackieShauna are definitely a homoerotic relationship even the writers said so, consuming all of her being and Shauna's relationship with Jackie is a simple 'do I wanna be her or be with her?' type of relationship.
I dont think that was it. She was a bit entitled, but she was a teenager, and I think she was killed because she wasn't as easily influenced by the "wilderness". Same reason Laura lee had to go, she was more resistant because of her faith. Honestly im surprised the coach is making it so far since he refused the wilderness too
