YOU’VE WON MY ETERNAL SUBSCRIPTION !!!! This song is a top 5 of Madonna’s fav songs to me. I’ve always defined it as hypnotic. It’s far more complex than what it seems to be. It comes from the fusion of Brazilian bossa nova, pop and electronic sounds from the UK. It also contains background fragments of her song shanti ashtangi, from the same album, which was written in sanscrit. I remember music of 1998… after Kurt Cobain’s death grunge music became quite depressing and people started to listen to boy bands, teenage girls and groups like Boyz II Men…. And suddenly Madonna came out with this masterpiece called ray of light and showed that she was soooo far away from the rest.

I remember Ray Of Light era and when it came out it was HUGEEE. I was only 11 at the time and I could never skip a song, and still can't to this day. You have to listen the whole album from beginning to end. But just this song I imagine being somewhere under the moon and stars in the middle of nowhere almost. That's the atmosphere I get from this 😍😍😍

Wow!!! Music is influence of Brasil club 99 she said. Some lyrics of Shanti. And the feeling is wonderful. Frozen The power of goodbye and this one are a trio of songs about love and deception! Her magic!
