in this video I will change a hex nut into a couple ring, why did I make this ring, so on this channel I want to share my experience and skills in making jewelry, in the process of learning to make jewelry generally using cheap but easy-to-shape materials, besides coins, hex nuts are materials commonly used by beginners in making jewelry because they are cheap and easy to shape, I use a hex nut size m16 in this project, and I use a classic carving design in this project, you can follow the steps in the process of making a couple ring as I show in the video and the tools I use are very simple so you can easily follow and start making your own jewelry at home, look forward to the next interesting video from me about making jewelry and unique works of metal, thank you for watching this video

dont, this is not a normal hex bolt its a casted peice out of brass or gold. you can tell by the fact its gold all the way through the nut even when cutting and sanding the color doesnt change

no, brass is very difficult to gold plate, unlike silver or copper,, it is just polished as seen in the video

A little different to say the least but is the nut really made of brass t did seem a bit soft???
Yes, it is really made of m16 hex nut, you can see from the dust left over from cutting or filing which is dark brown, unlike gold which is bright in color

@@medicbabe2IDI am a silversmith and goldsmith. Silver is cheap. $25 per ounce. Make something, melt it down and start over. Silver is non-irritating to skin as well. I am using my wits, trust me.
