- Thank you again, Skye, for sharing Tori with me and letting me fix her up :) She is a beautiful doll with some amazing memories! I am honored to get to contribute to her story! Today this doll will go through a total hair transformation. We will use a flat iron to give her a hair makeover! This technique is great for detangling matted doll hair and getting a shiny, smooth, finish! always be careful when using heat on dolls!! We will also paint some accessories for her, and fix up her dress!

Someone needs to invent a doll makeover holding device 😂, cause we all use our knees to hold our doll ( which works great ), but my thighs start to ache if I do it too long.

You are such a kind soul restoring this doll for someone else! ❤❤ honestly, I think she looks better now than she did in the box. Her hair is amazing! I was also nervous about her hair when you first opened the box, but you preformed a miracle! Her hair looks flawless! 💅🏻again, you are sooo sweet for doing this for someone else! Your videos made me Brave enough to wash and fix my Barbie's hair. I washed a couple then...I washed ALL 65 of them! 🤣THANK YOU for including the link to the flat iron you use! When I purchase mine I will use Your link! That was Marvelous the way you fixed the metalic dress!! I have used a Q-Tip too for cleaning out battery areas but also use rubbing alcohol. WOW what a transformation!! You are AWESOME!!

Hi diva, in the future you can always rebody dolls with electronic features and normal heads on to regular Barbie bodies to restore them and ensure nothing gets wet 💕💕💕

You did a great job! I had a beloved childhood doll which was Rio de Janeiro Teresa and she had been laying in my parents' attic for years and when we found her back her hair was very messy and matted from years of play so I decided to give her away but later I deeply regretted my decision to get rid of her after I learnt how to fix doll hair.
If only I knew someone like you who could clean her and fix her hair for me when I still didn't know how to do it.
Thankfully I got a new Rio de Janeiro Teresa which has good hair. It only needs a wash from being in the box for 20 years haha.

I don't remember what year it came out. All I remember is that it was either a Christmas or a birthday present from one of my grandparents when I was little, but I think it was 2011 when it came out
I absolutely loved this sweet video! I was skeptical when I first saw her hair, but you did such an amazing job. I am blown away with how great she looks by the end of the video, now I'm inspired to give one of my childhood Hilary Duff dolls (A Cinderella Story) some serious TLC. Keep up the great work, Grant! Awe that's so sweet to makeover dolls for others. I didn't even know they made a Victoria Justice Tori doll. That's really cool. You did a fabulous job as always and her hair looks so shiny again.
I did wonder why you didn't remove her head and wash her hair that way so that you wouldn't have to worry about the water in the electronics mixing.
She was so so much fun to work on!! They even made Ariana grande as Cat from victorious doll!!! Thank you so so much!!!! And I was very scared to attempt to remove her head- I was so afraid I might break the dolls neck and her head was very hard plastic unlike most Barbies so I was unsure the best way to even attempt removing!! 😭😭 but I hope I can get better at removing the heads easily. I’ve broken too many 😂
@@dolls2remember it is scary to break a neck peg. I tried removing my Bratzilla's head for a reroot, broke the neck but not the peg. The plastic is so brittle. I looked at repairing it with a bead and some glue i just haven't done so. I have a drawer full of makeovers that need work. One i was given that is coated in marker and paint. Was well loved for sure. She may end up a repaint and made to move body swap. I love watching your makeover videos and seeing new things to try and what works as it helps to figure out how to restore these beautiful dolls. I'm thinking about surprising my girlfriend with a Ken repaint of Henry the 8th (then maybe one of the heads would come in handy like maybe a mistress bloodgood from monster high type design)

Ur amazing . The hair and outfit are literally perfect ! I tried to wash one of my dolls hair today and style it and I completely failed 😅😭 I gotta get a little flat iron like that . Loves it

So, just curious...was that a commission job? Didn't sound like it, or maybe you said & I didn't hear.
No commission! I’ve only fixed two dolls for people so far so I’m pretty new to working on dolls for other people so I just wanted to get in the practice and do it for her :)
Hi Grant,the doll turned out so beautiful. Did you rinse out the conditioner or did you leave it in?
Thank you so much!!! I actually didn’t rinse out the conditioner while using the flat iron- I forgot to include in the video, but after I was done flat ironing her hair, I then did give her hair a quick gentle rinse under cold water to wash out any residue from the conditioner!!!
And then combed her hair again and let it air dry in place

Ah so sorry I forgot to mention in the video! I did leave it in for the straightener and then after done with the straightener, I did gently rinse out her hair w cool water to wash away any conditioner residue !! Thank you for watching!!! Xoxo
Is the conditioner still in while you're doing the flat ironing?
Yes, I went straight into flat ironing after conditioning and combing out the hair! Once i finished flat ironing, I did do a quick gentle rinse under cold water to remove any residue from the conditioner!! I’m sorry I completely forgot to mention that in the video!!
