- These vintage/grunge style beaded pens are easy to make, refillable, and fully customizable. These feature a combination of round, wrapped, and molded beads, made from polymer clay, so no worries about finding the right size beads. I chose a heart for my main bead and went with a grunge style but feel free to play around with different shapes, embellishments, and textures to create your own unique designs. These can also be personalized, so they're a very unique and beautiful gift idea. Save your pen tubes!!! You can decorate them with clay too. #clayart #claybeads #clayideas
Tools and Materials:
Clay: I'm using Sculpey III, Pink Glitter & Violet Glitter
Heart Mould: I'm using a larger heart for my center bead and a tiny one for embellishment on my round beads, you can use any shape you want.
Smaller Mould: for embellishment on the center bead, (small flowers, Filigree Designs, borders) you can even choose small pieces of larger moulds.
Paper Template: for the rolled beads, please see my clay shorts for a brief tutorial of the template
Crochet Hooks: Size G & H
Knitting Needle: Size 5

Straight Pin
Optional:

Thank you and I'll definitely do the pen tubes too in a few weeks. I just got some new texture sheets and chameleon mica powders that im dying to use. 😊
Very pretty and an excellent way to use Sculpy III. I would definitely like to see a tutorial on the other style of pen cover.
I recently posted a short video with 5 designs for these pens, and the opportunity to vote for your fave so check em out. 😊
Very nice job! I will be trying this! Just one thing, as a long time clayer, I'd bake for an hour to give them added strength. Just make sure the temp is correct with an oven thermometer & cover with foil so they don't burn.
Thanks for the advice. The sculpey III tends to burn easily, sometimes i cool them and bake em again it's just not very tolerant of prolonged heat. My premo clay ones I could probably cook for 2hrs without burning.
