The Max 4 was my first airbrush and even now some years later I still use it regularly especially for priming models. I’ve never had an issue with it it’s a great airbrush.
I believe the single action valve is intended to be used with cheap compressors that don’t have automatic start/stop, as they don’t like the airflow being blocked.
Not a true single action. Yes it eliminates one of the two action processes, But a true single action will open the air and deliver the set amount of paint with one trigger press. This still affords you control over paint volume on the fly. Some of the Badgers, Paasches, and others had an adjustment screw to unseat the needle for a real single action experience.

Yes, that makes sense I never use these valves but handy for anyone who doesn't want to always press down for air 😉

Exactly, it just allows you to only need to pull back on the trigger for paint and you don't need to worry about pressing down for air 🫡

Yes it should…the nozzle wrench works with most nozzles. Sparmax is also owned by iwata and have always had similar needles and nozzles to iwata 👍🏻🤩
