Hi everyone, hope you enjoyed this video! 😃 Link to sign up for the Machine Learning Specialization by Andrew Ng 👉 imp.i384100.net/RyjykN
NB: The crying face at 1:57 is a mistake, sorry! 😅
Can you make videos on how to practice case studies for interview questions. Love your videos. From India 🇮🇳
Hi great video as usual ! I don't know if it's me or not but the link does not work for me
Sorry the link is not working
@@winapenny Thank you for letting me know! I'm not sure why the link is not working for some of you, but I'll check that again :)
@@Thuvu5 iam big fan of you and your videos .i need more information ..can you send your linkedin id . i have some doubts how to approach
Hello Thu, I am a data analyst/scientist as well. It is nice to see another Vietnamese fellow follow this career path :). I also took the neural network course to build the model where I cannot find any relationship between the features and stock price.
Thanks for the great video!) 👍
The course is really amazing!!!
I'm studying the first part, the introduction (still older version), right now. And I am very glad that there is a new version of this course and specialization.
Very detailed and honest review. Will try this out. Currently going through hands on ML and preparing for tensorflow developer certification
I think you just convinced me to try this course out! 🙌🏼 Stoked that it’s now in python 🐍
You commenting that she convinced you convinced me to take this course!🤓
It convinced me twice :D
Yaaay, I'm glad it was convincing enough for you Luke 🤩. This convinced me to take the course twice 🤣jk. Yes I'm so happy it's in Python as well!!
@@Thuvu5 what if someone just signed up for the previous course 2 weeks ago? Should I cancel it and do the new one or finish it and then do both?

Thank you so much for your useful recommended specialization, glad that Mr Andrew Ng has new complete machine learning specialization for newbie.
Excellent video. Please post more such content and I feel much confident to take up this course. Thanks much Thu Vu 🙂.
Dear Thu, i would like to thnak you for sharing good guidence to aspiring data scientists. Your presentation is great, full of energy. Please keep up your good work.
Took the classic course and absolutely loved it!
I am glad Andrew finally decides to switch from R to python!
Yesssss finally😀
C
ảm ơn chị, em sẽ note là và học nó trong thời gian rảnh:)) Best wish for you:))
Thanks for the intro, I was just thinking whether to take the course or not. It does seem very useful and tempting, mainly because of Andrew Ng.
I am glad that I am already enrolled in this course, after doing that I would also do the deep learning course.
that's great video. i want to learn from that course soon and you give me great advice before actually do it. Thanks
Thank you very much for all the details you have presented on your video. I really appreciate it since I am about to start learning this field. Thank you very much once again and best wishes to you.
Thank you so much! Same to you 🙌
I'm in love with your videos. Everything it's almost perfect (content, video editing, audience engagement, even your voice). Thanks for sharing.
Aw thank you so much Agustin!!! Really happy to hear this because I see only flaws in my videos haha 🙈
Wonderful video review. Love it! Thanks.
Thanks Thu Vu. I am taking the course as well. I like Andrew because of all what you’ve said about him but also because I get the feeling that he does what he does for the sake of spearheading knowledge and educate people, and not to become more famous than he already is.
Absolutely agree with what you said, Abdel! 👌
Thanks for the learnings!
Great video!
Thanks for sharing Thu.
Liked it !👍🏻 Looking for more content following this. 😅
Thank you so so much. Wish you the best ⚘️
Thanks and for the encouraging useful thoughts.
So awesome..
I appreciate that the course is essential and fast to attend but apparently quite complete, maybe if could be better with an additional section in Course 2 (Advanced Learning Algorithms) that could contain material on Support Vector Machines, Dimensionality Reduction and Naive Bayes(or other classifiers) algorithms. I think these are the only few things that were better in the old (and much more long) course. What do you think?
Nice video and great explanation.
Great content! Finished the Google Data Analytics Certificate and working on projects to land my first job in the field. Also going to start this specialization for my future data science roles. Love from India.
Hello, did you manage to land a job?
Helpful video, thank you very much
This was incredibly useful
Wow, you already completed the new course in the short time that it came out? You are a wizard Thu.
Great!
Much love frome France
Thanks for sharing and I like your paper note
Another Great video Thu, Your video editing skills really improved and love the content, as a content creator myself I know how much time it took you to make these great video, I wish if I can give you more than one like,Thanks Thu , Keep these AMAZING videos COMING!!
Thank you so much! This is so kind of you 💛
great video, Hien, good job!
Thanks for the insightful video
Excellent video👩🎓
Thank you for the detailed review of the course. I am taking the course right now. It would be beneficial for me if you can share your hand written notes of the course, of course if you don't mind it. I appreciate your help. Thank you.
Thu u wont believe the hr manager in my interview said that even he watches ur channel i was giving a data analytics interview at accenture at that time he asked me what where my resources during my prep for interview i mentioned some websites and ur channel. He was amazed and asked me what all i learnt from ur channel and that he also watches it so basicallly it made my interview easier since i got a common point to talk about.
Luving ur work from the start keep growing 💓
Whaaat this is amazing!! Hope your interview went well! Well, if he gives you the job I'd be so happy 😉😂
Fantastic work.
Thu thanks you are making me to love learning
I did Andrew Ng's original machine learning course and it was excellent, I expect that this latest course will be excellent too.
For me however I have become a Julia programming language user now, a return to the tedium of using Python would be frustrating.
iam trying to find the actual adrew ng's original course can't find
Thu Vu definitely fan-girling :) on Andrew Appreciate the content.
Hahaha ehm, I actually tried to tone it down a lot already.. 🤣
Impressive video! I almost completed the first 2 courses of this ML specialization. Andrew's courses are informative and intriguing. Waiting for the 3rd one.
are yiy student? does these course return worth mean in term of money? someway as im new
Hey I have a doubt. Should I have to compete cs229 stanford after courses Andrew ng course
Good that you clearly pointed out that this course is NOT beginner friendly though quoted incorrectly by "Coursera'
Thanks!!
Dr Andrew Ng he deserves an special award from world where he providing the course in more reasonable price in my country India so called data scientist and ML engineer's are selling the course for huge amount of money shame on them
Super explanation…
Thanks for sharing
I am currently taking a machine learning course at MITx and I am frustrated by the lack of clarity presented. for sure as soon as I finish this course I will sign up for Andrew NG's course
Is that part of the Statistics and Data Science MicroMasters? How much of the math does it go into?
I have completed that course and got ZERO use from that
@@Atlas92936 yeah, I have done probability course and now I am doing the machine learning one. It requires a lot of math, derivative, integrals, and linear algebra (the latter is for the machine learning course).
@@bharathsf have you done all the courses from the micromasters? My hope is that the other courses will be better
Great video Thu! I love Andrew Ng's courses. I wish he uses Pytorch instead of Tensorflow though.
Hi Sophia, why pytorch over tensorflow?
@@JoshIgoe Hi from what I've seen, the industry is using more and more pytorch than tensorflow.
Hey Sophia, thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🙌 I'm not sure what's better but Pytorch has indeed become very popular. I also enjoyed fast.ai courses as well that use Pytorch.
Great video idea...I'm interested in that.
I think Elon Musk said that Tesla switched to PyTorch from TensorFlow (it might have been at "AI Day").

Thank you for the information you provided. Can I ask you a little something more?
If possible, can you backup your current version and share it with us so that we can access the notes you keep on Notion?
Thanks for your hard work. Greetings from Türkiye.
Ma'am , Can you share your notes from the previous ML course. 😄 It will be helpful for us.
Already enrolled
interested in how you take notes in notion! maybe you could make one video for this :D
Excellent review of Andrew Ng's updated Machine Learning Specialization on Coursera.
Glad course is in Python instead of Matlab/Octave. Sounds like the course would be a good compliment
to my Coursera Data Science Specialization with Johns Hopkins professors.
Glad you recomended a book. Does the course come with slides? (in my other specialization, that helped save on the notetaking). Great that notebooks are hosted on Coursera otherwise I was thinking of Google Colab.
Agree with Sophia Yang that it would be nice to have some Pytorch, but after mastering Tensorflow Pytorch should be much easier! Based on my R/Statistics background, first course looks familiar and second course looks unfamiliar and will be very challenging for me.
Hi. The first course comes with slides, but I didn't find slides in course 2 so far. The notebooks of labs can be downloaded so that we can save our code and learning notes. Hope this will be helpful.
hi there, would you still recommend doing the john hopkins one? i did it up till halfway through the 3rd course of the specialization then gave up previously since the assignments were just too time consuming
@@chooliangyi9819 Hey dude. I didn't attend the specialization from John Hopkins, but in my opinion, if too time-consuming or intensive, we can select an easier one such as Andrew's courses. We can then come back to it and may feel more comfortable. Good luck with that.
@@shizhenglee4484 Thank you, I signed up and am in the 2nd week of Course 1 in the specialization. The hard part is forgetitng what I know about regression (from statistics/ econometrics) and think of it as a toy machine learning algorithm for understanding cost functions and gradient descent. After completing the lab notebooks, I have printed them from the browser to a PDF file. So, far the lab notebooks are easy because all we have to do is run the code!
Thank you for this excellent video Thu!
I think you have answered all my questions about the hesitations I got.
I am still wondering what you use for taking notes on pc? What was that interface in the video? Thanks.
Hi, thanks for commenting! I'm not sure which notes you were referring to. For Andrew Ng I think he was using a Wacom
Nice video,
I have been been in cybersecurity for 7 years and wanting to pivot to Artificial Intelligence. I start my course in August.
Oh that’s exciting!! Thank you for watching! 😊
if I may know, why you switch your career into AI? is cybersecurity's income low?
Hi Thu, thanks for your video. You mentioned that it cost $49 a month, what about how much it cost for the whole 3 courses? or does that mean the cost is charged by the time length of enrollment instead of the whole course(s)? Does the cost include the certificate already? Thanks!
If you could share your Andrew Ng course notes, it would be very much appreciated. 😊
It is really helpful video for me
I just finished IBM data analyst professional certificate and am finding next step
As my searching, machine learning is becoming more and more important not only IT filed but also in manufacturing field
Could you give some advices on Machine learning course of DeeplearninAI and Google? That would be great reference for me to take next step
Thanks in advance
Andrew's CS229 is in python too and I strongly recommend it. Not sure how different this course is to CS229.
Hey! Can you help ke with this? Can i have a link? All i see is his youtube videos with too much theory and no practical
Can you please suggest a best Statistics course on Coursera to gain in-depth concepts from beginner to expert level.
Great Video ! Can you share the written notes shown in 2:20 ?
From Vn with luv
Hello, how would you rank this against ibm's machine learning course?
Thanks for the amazing video!
i have question iam beginner in ml what is better for me start with Hands-On Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn, Keras, and TensorFlow or Python Data Science Handbook?
From India, just completed the specialization yesterday. Along with this, and a Google Data Analytics certification, I am hoping to dive deep into the professional world of data science.
I'm planning to take this specialization. Is it worth it?? I know a little bit of machine learning but want to get professional in this.
@@kartikarora3521 I would say it is worth it. But the certification in itself might not make you job ready. But it will definitely make you ready to understand and work on more complex machine learning models. Moreover the content can also help you in technical interviews.
@@suvodipsom5499 Okay that's great! I'm taking the course. Thanks for the help.

Pls Suggest Power BI Specialist Projects which can help me land a Job Immediately as a Power BI Specialist.
Can you please share your notes ? It will be very helpful
hello . thx for this introduction
but do u think that it covers the big picture of Ai-Deep learning and NN.
specially that the new course at first it seems to be shorter than the first one
In terms of the variety of accountant not in total time . and would you advise a beginner level student to take it?
if he/she had a good background with math/programming . ?
Học về Machine learning có thể ứng dụng được gì trong lĩnh vực tự động hóa không chị? Em đang học ngành TỰ động hóa nên ko được đào tạo sâu về thuật toán và code như bên IT
hii thu vu , hope you doing well , can you please share your notes of both notion and handwritten . if you can than please, i will appriciate you😊😊
Hi Thu, if I am not ready yet for the schedule in July 20, will there be another one ? How soon ?
From where to learn model explanatibility and model fairness?
Hey, I just started with this course and I'm finding it difficult to keep up with the programming assignments. I'm not able to understand the optional labs thoroughly. Can you please guide me on the same?
How long should one study Python for to be proficient enough to start this course & not be completely lost?
Thank you for such a genuine review.
I have one query that there are so many libraries related to python then how to get command over libraries because recalling everything is not possible??
Thank you for tuning in, Tarun! I wouldn't worry too much about recalling libraries because it's a natural learning process when you use these libraries on a daily basis. Also, Google is the best friend when it comes to learning and trouble-shooting issues 😄
@@Thuvu5 thank you
Do i need to know calculus to do the course. I am older and havent done math for over 18 years. I still remember basic algebra. Is the math too complex. Love your channel.
Hi John, thank you for commenting! For calculus I think you only need to know (partial) derivative and integral to start with. So probably refreshing on these concepts you should be good to go. Hope this helps! 🤗
Is studying a theoretical book like Bishop's PRML or Hastie's ESL more effective than this course? Do you think it is still mandatory studying hard book if you want to become a real data scientist?
Hey Diego! Good question!! I’m not sure if books are more effective than the course or vice versa, but I think they can complement each other very well. From my experience books usually go more in depth and introduce additional related concepts that might be useful. Hope this helps!! 🙌
I want to start but first need to finish to study for my exams :( i wish i had more time
Oh no.. good luck with your exams 😀
I haven’t done Andrew Ng 1st ML course but I have knowledge of basic python, Statistics and mathematics should I directly do this course or start with old one?
Do the new one!
Can you share your notion template plz 🙂
Thanks for sharing the details.. please clarify .. .did Andrew NG have prepared the code in Python and made it available in each module? Since earlier it were in Octave/Matlab. Hence asking that question..
Thank you
Yes the code is now all in Python
How can average it take to complete first course of Machine learning?
Hello Thu I m transitioning mu career to ML and wondering do I still go through the original ML course by Andy NG or I can take up the specialization course ?
Hey Tapas, you can go straight to this new specialization because the old course does not exist anymore 😅
I have taken the course, the explanations are great, but he's not teaching the code, we should only do it in the assignments, what should I do to learn the coding part?
I'm a first year computer science engineering student.I know only little coding, know linear algebra but not indepth.
Is this course suitable for me?
Please reply
Is there anyone who has a lot of experience in this field? I have a degree in communications and minor in computer science (44 quarter units of CS classes, basically a mini CS degree, that's how the department describes it) from UC Davis,
I am trying to develop my career. I am almost finished with the google data analytics certification and I am wonder what would be a good course to start next. Thinking about the IBM Machine learning cert but this sounds great too. I tend to like the more CS side of things.
I would love some advice :-)
Why it's not included in Plus :(
Can I learn if I totally new to IT , technology ..
Can we get any job benefit after this course?
Depends on how much it costs.
can I get your notes on these courses?
The links are not working.
Would you be so kind to share your notes ?
I need to make projects on CNNs so I am think of doing deep learning specialization because i am from a non coding background but i do know basic python, maths and stats. Should i do this new machine learning specialization before the deep learning specialization?
Hey, no you don’t strictly need to learn ML first to do deep learning, although knowing some ML concepts can be helpful. But I’m the Deep learning spec you’ll also learn about these concepts so you should be fine. Hope this helps!
@@Thuvu5 in the deep learning specialization, in course 1 assignments it is difficult to understand the whole coding part clearly. But I am able to do what is asked of me in "write the 2 codes of line below" thing. So should I put more time to understand the whole assignment or just the small coding part is enough? Also thanks for the reply!
Should you be really good with data structures first?
For this course I don’t think so 😊
