This is one of the SBG fellows. My name is Melanie C. I wanted to say that Dr Bright is intelligent, well versed, easy to follow and relatable. She speaks in terms familiar with the general population. Therefore, learning from her comes comfortably. I think the benefit of having her as a continuing inhouse master on this subject is crystal clear. Since we are all interested in internal health and the endocrine system is KEY to that health, having an expert on the team regularly just makes sense. Each month more and more people are hearing about SBG, becoming interested in this way of eating and have never heard of such things that are being discussed. It takes experts like Dr Bright and the others (Sally Norton, Dr Ovadia, Dr Dananburg, Dr Berry to name a few) to lock in what the SBG is teaching and living. This transistion is not to be taken lightly. The adjustment while easy for most can be dangerous for some. Having expert clinicians is extremely wise. Bella, I am saying all of this because of my own journey so far in healing. It has not been easy and I do utilize coaching weekly. I was so moved by this particular round table discussion. As a women we need more of these. Women suffer the most I think. I also want to tell you that I am impressed with your professionalism even in the face of uncomfortable dialog. The atmosphere was comfortable yet polished. You and the Coaches did a Brilliant job. I am counting this as one of THE more valuable and fun discussion meetings. Thank you so much.

I am 62 and have struggled with allergies and never feeling completely well my whole life. I was raised on biscuits, peas, butter beans, fried chicken cooked in corn oil, or crisco which is just as bad. In other words my diet consisted of mostly carbs. And for the past 15 yrs or so I was always doing salads with a small amount of meat. Except for the days I pigged out on shrimp. For the last 2 years I have had episodes where I would get so sick with my bladder, and with itching all over and rashes, plus I kept a low grade fever. And for 2 or 3 weeks I would be in so much pain and agony every year. But I kept crying out to God and I believe He led me to the carnivore diet.
Doctors didn't know what it was that was wrong with me, nor did they have a cure or answer for my being so bloated and in pain all the time. I tried doing keto but I was still so sluggish that I couldn't function. I was so weak and hopeless. Then a few weeks ago my knees would buckle to the point of me almost hitting the floor. And my histamine levels were so high and causing tormenting itching to the point that I thought I would loose my mind. I just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. I was taking 2 hot baths a day and scrubbing my skin with a shower brush, in my mind I was trying to scrub the histamines off. That would help some, plus the histamine pills, and a good cream. Finally I started learning about histamines and how vegetables and fruits are filled with them as well as all the breads, snacks, and processed foods. And that led me to the carnivore diet and how people got rid of their allergies and infirmities by eating just meat. I also eat eggs, a little cheese, and coffee with butter in it.
Then seven days ago I decided to try it. And I am feeling better. I am not healed but I am healing thank God. I am not itching all the time and my skin is so much better and I am feeling better. Thank you all for making this video. Because I don't think I am eating enough fat. I seem to be stuck at a certain weight. I have learned a lot from your video.
But as far as the story of man evolving out of water, I don't agree. For God's Word says "Let us make man in our image," and He created Adam. Man has never been a tadpole. Respectfully yours.

@Ann Carter, I read your whole experience, and I'm so happy for you that you're doing much better. And I agree, God created Adam and Eve. And for a reason God gave the green light to Noah to start eating meat after the great flood. And as a matter of fact, the fat was a very important ingredient for worshipping in the ancient Israel. So was God wrong telling us to get our meat & fat portion every day? I don't think so! I wish you the best with your new diet and life style. 👋

      Love your story.
However, there is so much wrong with the Adam and Eve myth! Where did all the women come from? Was there incest involved, as Adam&Eve had two males, didn't they? There is no logic to bible stories, as they are just to convey certain morals, in a world 2000 years ago.
No, Homo Sapiens Sapiens evolved from the same original beings, as the Neanderthals- just later. Meat and associated fat made us human - grew our brains, changed the shape of our bodies bc we didn't need a secum anymore (hence the appendix). Our need for DHA for optimal health, is a leftover from when our ancestors "crawled" out of the 'swamp'.

From what I understood and went through also. If you don't have a gallbladder your liver is not use to making enough bio salt which is what breaks down fat and extract nutrients from. If you have low stomach acid, your liver won't be able to produce enough bio acids to break down the fats. So add 1 to 2 tablespoons a week till your body adjust to the increase, back to runs back it down a week and then when doing better start increasing again. This will help train the liver to make more bio acids to digest the fats. Or you can do what happen to me, was diarrhea for almost 2 yrs straight, (only cuz no one knew why it was happening at the time) and then boom best poops i've ever had, but the minute I try to eat bad, the diarrhea comes back, if I eat less fat get constipated. I think the diarrhea is actually the cleaning of the stomach bacteria. If your poop floats, or a oil film on the water, your not digesting the fats. To help with this use bio salt, I take 1 to 3 with each of my meals. Depending how much fat is in the food i'm eating, and it's important to take them about halfway thru the meal, least the ones I was on. The diarrhea is telling you how sick your body is, so give it some love and give it the fats it need to love you back.

You have been malnourished for so long, and now that you are giving your body the best and most dense nutrients, building blocks and proper fuel, it is going to hold on to tem for dear life. Once your body is strong enough, and feels safe, it all let go of the excess fat storage. Your bowel movement is all over the place because you are adjusting, you are not used to the sudden high fat intake and your gut health needs to be heal. And that takes time. You can do this! I decided to change my diet and add butter which I avoided from the age of 16 until I 37. But recently I started using butter on my scrambled eggs and I actually list weight but also I cut out carbs like bread and potatoes and upped my eggs and chicken. I'm getting a slimmer waist and still keeping my boobs and it's been great for me. I had a overactive thyroid and my TSH is still suppressed and I had pmdd all which I think was a result of being vegan for so many years and avoiding too much fat. Now I love my unpasteurised butter and now cutting out oxalates so fingers crossed. Also the higher fats got rid of chest wrinkles and my skins looking great and eyes sparkle again.

I spent the 90s trying to be the ‘good girl’ eating low fat to the letter and was miserable. At almost 48 my hormones are now a mess. In Australia, we don't buy butter in sticks. We buy 250g usually and for those of us who love butter, 500g! So from my reading a stick is a little less than half a 250g block. We are a carnivore three generational family. Keeping the little ones carnivore is difficult at times, especially since they love fruit and bread, which they have flung in their faces outside the home.

I am 71 and have had dry eyes and mouth for about 30 years. The dryness has been most severe at night so that my eyes were practically cemented shut in the morning, every morning, and painful to open and start blinking until some moisture returned. The mouth dryness was likewise, worsening through the night until my tongue was plastered to the roof of my mouth by morning. BTW I am not and have not been on any long term medication. The mouth dryness had repercussions on my gum and general dental health. I still had these issues after starting carnivore but after seeing your videos I was inspired to eat more butter (which I have always loved) and started eating unlimited browned butter bombs. Within a week I have noticed relief with more saliva and have hardly noticed any morning eye dryness. I’m going to try even more butter daily and look forward to experiencing great benefits. It was unkind😔. It’s not ok, in her eyes for men to tell women what to do, but somehow it’s ok for her to tell other women what size families they should have. I understand that in pregnancy the immune system is reacting but God has placed a beautiful orchestration of biological events in place to protect the child. Understand what Dr. bright was trying to convey but there may have been a better choice of words. Thankful for her brilliance tho and all the other important aspects of this round table. Technically, Dr. Bright is correct in stating that the baby is foreign to the mother's body. That's why the placenta exists. It's job is to keep the mother's immune system from attacking the baby and killing him or her. If it fails the mother may have a miscarriage and lose the baby.

I’ve spent the past nine years struggling with being overweight and not being able to lose weight unless I literally fasted for several days at a time (but would gain the weight back as soon as I ate anything), digestion issues like chronic diverticulitis and food intolerances, adrenal and hormonal issues, inflammation and pain in my neck and back and shoulders and other joints, etc.. And all of this really seemed to ramp up and start after my gallbladder was removed. I do believe I had liver problems before my gallbladder was removed, but I was never diagnosed with anything even though I have had diverticulitis symptoms since I was 17 years old (I’m now almost 40).
I’m trying to give up sugar right now, and lower my carbs and ease into eating more “carnivore” meals, and to see if this can help me with all of my issues. If anyone else doesn’t have a gallbladder and has had similar problems but now does carnivore, I’d love any suggestions or tips.

Omg Bella... this was one of the most genuine & open convos that I've ever experienced... carnivore or not. It's weird... because this is a cv channel - but you brought on a perfect collection of guests that actually discussed the very topics that probably brought many of us women to this w.o.e. Who knew that it's SO much more than just "eat meat & heal your body". It's the fat that I've been terrified of & I continuously bounce back to thinking I should either restrict calories &/ adf or follow a protein sparing diet (which totally restricts the fat🙄) because I was at a weight I liked seeing on the scale - although I was not healthy & had developed hashimotos & was weak. I gained 15 lbs when I started keto & then ketovore & now 98.5% cv. That's what I've done my whole life...I've never had a good relationship with food. This is the closest I've ever come to not being controlled by food & my hashimotos #s are great now with help from my dr & I've also started bhrt since I'm menopausal & that's been a Godsend too. I'm no longer using food as a treat or a punishment... that alone is refreshing... but I'm trying to take this to the next level. I need this help from you beautiful ladies... thank you all for what you do. 💗

Wonderful interviews! I’ve learned so much since starting to change my health 2 years ago. I had a full colectomy at 19 and was talked into a full hysterectomy with ovaries removed at age 36. Downhill from that point. I’m still working at this at 41, given my history it’s taking awhile and I hope I’m turning the corner.
My lingering issues are chronic fatigue and diarrhea (I would assume from having no colon/ large intestine).
I just started being very deliberate about upping my fat 2 days ago. I was Paleo, then keto, then carnivore with moderate fat. Does anyone have any experiences on when they began to notice differences in energy and mental health after upping fat intake?
I hope everyone has a glorious week!

I’ve had two partial colectomies and have chronic diarrhea, you’re not alone. It’s frequent and excessive, but I feel my best on high fat carnivore.

This is so timely! I started carnivore in June and the Steak and Butter Gang in August. I haven’t been counting or measuring protein or fats. After years of restricting fats, I’m definitely eating more than I ever have. Lately I’ve noticed that my skin is dry and I have suspected that I need to up my fats. I just didn’t realize I had to up them THAT much!

Yes! Fat is lotion. Add your fats in gradually. And please let us know how it goes.

From what I've learned, you should determine your ideal fat 'dose' the same way you do vitamin c (ascorbic acid) - you take it to bowel tolerance. Meaning, just below the amount that starts to cause loose bowels.

@@cherishingyourhealth hi Cherish. I’ve been strict carnivore for about a year now, but meat based since fall of 2019 when I went on the Dr. Ted Naiman diet to lose 15 pounds. That weight loss took about 3 months. Then I gradually cut out the fruits and veggies. Going back before 2019, I was vegan for 3 years in my late 50’s, early 60’s, after being on a SAD forever. While vegan, I discovered I had osteopenia, and I also read Dr. W. Davis’s book, Wheat Belly, and I got off grains and went on the Paleo diet. It was from that diet that I started the Ted Naiman diet in late 2019. Thanks for asking!

I’m literally in tears finding this information today ! I have been so sick and sleep deprived and just over medicated. I have severe inflammation in my gut and acid reflux I have been doing keto the last 3 weeks . I have discovered carnivore yesterday and a friend told me to watch this doctor! I’m so moved emotionally at the hope I have listening to this . I’m literally afraid to go to bed tonight because my nights are exhausting. Thank you so much for getting this information out there

One thing I noticed is that people who have a lot of success with the carnivore diet also started fasting at the same time due to not snacking, many have only 1 meal a day and intermittent fasting alone can heal a lot of health issues so I always wonder is it really the meat only diet or the intermittent fasting that’s making them healthier. I fast and when I started fasting I healed a lot in my body too so it would be interesting to hear from a carnivore who eats a few times a day
