Only bad thing about the movie: not enough screen time for Neytiri.
Exactly my thoughts, and I don't think it will get better in the sequels. The children will play the leading roles.

Like even Spider in the movie is shocked about Netyri killing her enemies efficiently violent
So yeah, I like it. The whole fight sequence. Show's how skilled she is

I've watched it two times already and both times it felt like a 2 hour movie. AMAZING!!! Avatar 1 was my favorite movie of all time and now I've got a new favorite.

This movie is amazing because it captures all the elements of making a movie that elevates your imagination to another level. Some parts reminded me the attractions at Disney Animal Kingdom but the movie is so much more. Highly recommended!

@@notkat3662 it’s a simple story but it’s not the same plot. It’s just the same enemy, the plot of the first one was jake getting to know the planet and falling and defending it. This one is about defending his family. Like I said it’s truly nothing super complex when u get to the bones of it but it’s not the same plot. It’s set up for the future movies so it definitely seems like the same but this is really just an episode in the series to put it lightly

1:15 what he says here about his character, tells me that he is gonna be a good guy in the later movies. Cause nothing in the second movie indicated the planet was "growing" on him. And the actor would know his arc as they have already shot parts of the 3rd and 4th movie.
I love the character development. Maybe the good guys become bad and the bad guys become good. Everythings grey. No one is a true good guy.

I saw this movie today. It was so beautiful! The underwater scenes were breathtaking! I enjoyed seeing the Sully Family. The storyline visuals and oh the creatures too. I love this love a lot

It was headache
It was yawn fest. No adrenaline pumping scenes. Background music is almost non-existent. Felt like watching a TV show.
Seriously can’t get over how freakin good this movie was. Everything about it is such a fresh breath of air compared to a lot of the rocky cinematic releases we’ve had lately.

@NEO THE ONE even with all its flaws, Avatar 2 dominates every other big franchise out there. The story isn’t the best, but that’s by design. It’s obvious to see that Avatar 2 was just a setup movie for future events that will be explained in 3 and 4. Everything in Avatar 2 was done with purpose.
I've already been twice in two days and I plan to go a third and probably a fourth. Absolutely mesmerising. Well worth the wait.

I didn't know she did it until I heard that she was being criticized for being in her 70s acting like an 14 year old. Had no idea it was her in the movie. I found out only after I seen it.
Brilliant selection on James part. She acted like a 14 year old with an old spirited soul. Wonderful. Discovering herself.
She totally STOLE this film, her performance was the standout!

With all the plain and boring movies Hollywood produce nowadays, this movie was needed. Best movie since Avatar 1 and the Lotr trilogy.
I’ve seen too many meh movies during the Pandemic. Even after the lockdown. Luckily this wasn’t one of them
I loved that they chose both the mom and daughter to be played by the same person coz grace and kiri really felt like genetically related coz of it. I loved it and that lil facial similarity of kiri with the original actress😍🥰 that was awesome mom child bonding strategy
Close-minded people calling this film “mid” or boring is a prime example of how far we’ve fallen as a society. This movie was beautiful from the message to the cinematography and overall it had something for everybody to enjoy. Look at it for just that, if YOU enjoyed it, you enjoyed it. Don’t let anybody sway your opinion on YOUR experience.
Ikr. I hate it when people call it "Pocahontas". Their brain is just too tiny to grasp the Avatar movies.
Agree that visuals are spectacular but Last half hour was just sully family trying to escape the ship?? I mean seriously? Is that your decade of work? Could've explore more of pendora or bridgehead city, more creatures or action scenes. Also that final battle was just 1st battle (hometree) of Avatar 1. I thought more is coming. Its like they just win over the 1st rainforstment, what about the rest at Bridgehead city?

I never saw the first film until it came out on Blue-Ray. I didn't make the same mistake again. This everything I wanted (and more) from this film. It was stunning in every sense of the word. It's not just a film, it an incredable experience also.

Some people criticize the movie for having such a simple story plot. There's nothing wrong with that. Between all the crazy blockbusters we've had this year, sometimes a simple family value movie is what we needed. In fact, because of the simpleness of the plot, helps brings out the characters and the world to shine brighter.
I may not have the best track record when it comes to sequels about simple family value. But this one has redeeming quality to spare

This movie was great and even the graphics were better then the first one!
I love that Jake and nyteri were more like a couple then trying to be like Navi and were more like being a human.
I loved seeing them as parents and seeing their family dynamic, I wish we could of seen more of that!
I bet Sigourney Weaver never thought she'd play a teenager. 😂 Motion capture is great for fighting ageism in Hollywood.
