Our Lady of Tears, helper of the poor and suffering, appeared to Sister Amalia Aguirre of the Scourged Jesus in Campinas, Brazil on March 8, 1930.
Our Lady said: ‘My child, I will tell you about the Rosary in my hands. I have named it the Crown (Chaplet) of Tears...…. remember that it signifies MERCY, LOVE, and PAIN... this Chaplet of my blessed Tears signifies that your Mother LOVES YOU. Use all its privileges, resort to it with confidence and love.’
Jesus said: "My daughter, whatever people will beg Me for the sake of the Tears of My Mother, I shall lovingly grant them."
O Jesus, look upon the Tears of the Mother who loved You most while on earth and who loves
You so ardently in Heaven.
O Jesus hear our petitions for the sake of the Tears shed by Your dearest Mother.

The Rosary (Chaplet) given to Sister Amalia by the Mother of God, consists of 49 beads, which is divided into seven parts (7 beads each part) and separated by larger beads - similar to the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Mother Mary.
