I have rarely ever wanted to hug someone MORE than I want to hug Asai! He is such a beautiful person!
I’m American now, but I immigrated here from Mexico-so I carry the same amount of sadness, but not the same kind of emotional guilt that many *born Americans* feel about the atomic bombings.
Even though most people alive today have/had no direct connection to the event, I know that 99% of Americans (while understanding the events that led to the bombings) still feel great pain for the innocent lives that were lost, affected and for the prolonged suffering that has resulted from it…
So it truly soothes my heart to know that many of the Japanese people (especially those that are of that time, like Asai) don’t hate us for it today.
Because I deeply love the beautiful Japanese people and cultures, but I also absolutely adore my new homeland and all of the beautiful people and cultures here as well.
So I’m very happy that 2 of the countries I love most in the world, were able to forgive each other and work together, towards preventing anything like this from happening between us (and hopefully ANYWHERE ELSE) ever again. 🇺🇸❤️🇯🇵

I just discovered your documentaries and I have seen them all one day. They are so interesting and different from other channels. I felt like you you are really passionate about your work and it is serious for you. Compared to other youtubers who make documentaries just to have more views and subscribers, I feel like you want to show a part of the world that we don't know to broaden our understanding and knowledge. I really like the way you do it: Unpretentious, not only for money and without looking for the morbid, only honesty and desire to share. Thanks and I encourage you to continue!

I am writing this sentence using Google Translate.
I'm a Japanese person who saw this video from a recommendation on CZcams.
Thank you for covering this topic.
For our generation, World War II has become a story in textbooks, and unless you live near Hiroshima or Nagasaki, it is difficult to have the opportunity to hear directly from people who lived during that time. And I think you are.
I thought that was not good, so I visited the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum for the first time last year.
I think it was a really worthwhile trip.
In the future, if foreigners come to Japan for a trip, there are many beautiful and fun places in Japan, but I would like them to visit the museum in Hiroshima.
Sorry for the long message. I look forward to seeing more videos.

Moreover they planned to use bio weapons in America ( I think a more effective blubonic plague which in the past wiped out most of Europe) understood that the lives taken from Hiroshima and Nagasaki would be a joke if American had to invade Japan they would HV to fight for each building, each square feet killing mostly civilians than their soldiers due how Japanese mentality then.

I feel horrible guilt for what my govt did back then even though I wasn't born. I had both grandparents in the war and a a few great uncle's. They never saw combat but had some stories nonetheless. I admire Japanese for their humility in their defeat and mindset of focusing on the future and not dwelling in the past. Something tons of Americans could learn off that. Most won't even educate themselves on this topic, but I feel it's a must. It's taught in schools but not detailed enough, though.
