Fallout New Vegas is one of my all time favourite games, and I'm so excited to present the game like this. I've planned my character build in depth with the goal of pushing the power of my build increasingly to its limit as time progresses. The plan is to complete all DLC, and pick up increasingly powerful items and perks that will help us throughout the game.

@@Idkpleasejustletmechangeittbh this is why I don't blame CZcams directly as much as the big advertisement companies making the demands.
Video streaming services are expensive to run, so they're having to play a weird balancing act between getting enough ads to stay afloat without losing too many content creators.
CZcams wasn't in any way profitable for years and by all accounts it's basically breaking even at best most of the time.
It's the same as the "don't curse in the first 30 seconds if you don't want a Community Strike, you [CZcams.]"

Caesar has constant headaches and migraines due to a tumor while being a psychopath to boot, while John Oppenheimer has mass delusions of murder and the thought they are being puppeteer’d by some omnipresent being. Man, with insane people like that almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

The interaction with Phillippe is my favourite in the entire game, possible entire series. Everything from the "[?]" of the speech check not even knowing what's going on, to the way he immediately opens up all of his demons, to the completely even delivery of "God I'd forgotten about that how could they do that to me?"
It's artistry of the highest order.
Its like for the first time in his life he’s finally gotten it
Read this as Philippines, so I was very confused that I missed an entire island nation in such an old game
Best part is how his voice only starts to waver with "You'll always feel empty" right before he leaves. It's a tiny touch, but shows that giving him a flat voice even as he realizes how traumatic his upbringing was is a deliberate choice. It's the cherry on top of a great performance for a one-off character.

New Vegas, for all the bad voice acting it has, also has some of my favorite voice acting ever. The delivery of that line couldn't have possibly been any funnier
Rtgame at the beginning: John Oppenheimer is a reasonable man but he's not afraid to get his hands dirty
Rtgame after 2 DLCs and 40+ levels: John Oppenheimer has nuked both the NCR and the Legion and has a body count in the hundred thousands

The drinking contest with Cass has some of the most dialogue variables in the entire game, since it's determined by your endurance and there's different dialogue for every point of endurance you have

Iirc she's the character with the most total dialogue in the base game, second to Ulysses if you count the DLCs.
14:20 Philippe's mental unraveling was so out of no where and hilarious. The first time I encountered it I did nothing but reload and laugh for half an hour.
I love how CZcams thought you were murdering real people with laser rifles and mini nukes and they just went: “give ‘em a strike. That’ll show him!” As if that’s you’re first concern when you believe someone is committing mass genocide. Oh CZcams. I’d say never change, but please do. A lot.

I like how in story games in the past RT doesn’t allow himself save resets, but when he knows that he can and will snap at any given point, he needs it to survive
Those NCR Troopers will finally get their wish of nuclear winter as John Oppenheimer becomes God of Hyperdeath, Destroyer of Universes as RT starts the main quest after 53 hours

“I didn’t want there to be this many consequences.” It funny because he nuked the entire wasteland and wonders why people hate him. I’m learning so much from this series about what kind of person Oppenheimer was. Perfectly fine with nuclear genocide but he draws the line at cannibalism. Also he was apparently suffering from a severe case of schizophrenia.

Just as a tip, I know that oftentimes bloody mess is what causes problems with youtube and other youtubers sometimes censor it.
There’s a mod that removes the bloody part of the perk and just makes it a +5% damage boost as well
