I was surprised to find there are several videos of Brenda Lee all through youtube. When you put her name in they don't all 'rise' to the top. So I found a little trick just by chance. You go to Pinterest and in the search put in Brenda Lee and there are tons of pictures of her, but more importantly some are the youtube recordings. That is how I found this one. Seen her in Sept. 1960 Macon High School lawn, Macon Missouri in Red Foley's Ozark Jubilee when I was 9 years old. She was 15 years old and her voice was loud and distinct. She would get loud then lower it down to a whisper..I loved that. She sang 3 songs but my favorite was 'I'm Sorry' that had came out 3 months earlier.
Wow, that would've been somethin'. Lucky you! My parents had a stack of old 45's, and I'm Sorry was among them. It was the first Brenda Lee song I'd ever heard, and I just played the hell out of it! Still my favorite till this day. Would've been great to see a live performance back when it came out. Really thankful at least that these clips exist on CZcams.
