One thing I love about PAYDAY: The Heist is the communication. The heisters have a lot to say and so do the cops. If you listen to cops, you can hear which special enemy is coming. You can hear them say "make way for the shield, let the taser take them out, send in the Cloakers" and heisters are talking way more instead of Bain or Locke saying everything in PAYDAY 2
I played payday 2 as soon as it was released for free on stream. I thought it would be a normal fps game that i don’t like, like many others. Turns out, it is really good. Most of my now evolved stealth and fps skills in games come from payday. And although i did all heists, i still really like going back to heists. It’s really well made.
It's not free on steam?
so looking forward to payday 3!!! recapping the evolution is such a great way to hype up the release :D
I like that you acknowledge Payday: The Heist and give it credit. I feel like you only really got into the negatives on that one though and not really 2. PDTH might have some slight inconsistencies, but it is really consistent in comparison to Payday 2. Payday 3 also has a lot of issues, but overall great video.
Got to play the payday 3 beta during the stress test, and my goodness the stealth is beautiful. I think the integration of casing mode into stealth really improved the flow, as it's both forgiving since you can be caught without failing stealth, restrictive due to your lack of abilities in casing mode, and an interesting challenge as you can complete No Rest For The Wicked fully in casing mode by guessing the code. Doing that solo (which was kinda tough to set up since I had to be in an empty lobby) for the first time really boosted my mood for the day, moved in slick like a slide, and out like a candle wick in the wind.
I also like how the buff system works, as some buffs aren't entirely useless if you go from stealth to loud. Plus, the slower and controlled combat pace should make it more approachable to newer players and fans of payday the heist
That was a failed stress test. A real stress test is letting everybody play not just people who paid extra money because then that's not a real stress test and see what happens. Servers were down for almost 6 days
After experiencing the beta and launch of payday 3, it feels more like a successor to payday the heist rather than payday 2. Payday 3 is a lot more grounded in reality, requiring planning and teamwork to overcome obstacles instead of builds abusing overpowered mechanics. Its a change that I’m quite fond of, as it now requires a lot more thinking ahead to complete a stealth job and coordinated holds/pushes in loud. Overall, I quite like the new game (when it decides to work, but that’s a different story). There are some things, like the progression system that do need some adjustment, but that’s my take.
I was and still am excited for payday 3 but got severely disappointed because of the mods. Basically because of Denuvo and slightly because of it being always online this limits mods to asset swaps which is extremely disappointing. Modding is one of the biggest parts of payday 2 and is one of the reasons I still play so seeing this is very sad.
Underrated video man. Super high quality content
Thank you for checking it out! 🫡
I really enjoy payday 3! I think the best way to describe it is that I never feel like anything that happens to me in payday 3 feels cheap, like dying or getting caught in stealth, when I felt that way ALL the time in payday 2. In this game I can realize that I wasn't sticking with my team, or I was being too aggressive, I really like how all the specials have more interactivity, like shooting nader's chests or taser's hip packs. Even dying to cloakers and stuff feels very fair.
I think in some ways it cut out stuff that I liked, I wish there were more masks and cosmetics (like red dots and melee weapons) that could be earned without the eventual microtransactions. Even though it makes things much easier I also kind of miss the concealment stat, it feels kind of dumb to have zero detection in casing mode when you're running a full rifle, it feels like it took away a legitimate decision that you had to make in builds, but now you can run a stealth build with a ton of firepower if it goes loud and idk it feels like you can have your cake and eat it too and makes stealth feel less special
It feels like they took out concealment stats at least temporarily, given how bad smgs are (such as their ammo cap) and the stat being affected by casing status. Now that I’ve reached level 77, I can finally enjoy the game in full btw, until pushing for 100. Progression is painful at 77, and they will prob change it due to public aggravation
payday 3 reminds me of a gmod realism video tbh
the graphics are amazing and so is the gameplay
And to think we're playing an old unfinished version. I have high hopes for launch, ofc am expecting a few issues especially with the servers overall I feel like it's gonna be fantastic. The updated UI looks great too, sadly we don't get the new UI in the beta
The beta is actually quite good and it's an outdated build last touched in April.
The only thing that really irks me is that the optimization is kinda bad, and the fact they are switching to UE5 in a few months doesn't sound great if you ask me.
@@maboilaurence8227 I built my PC in like 2017 or somewhere around there, pretty outdated system with the only upgrade being a 3060ti from my 1070ti. I have no problem hitting 100+ fps constantly while playing. Optimization isn't terrible but I do agree it's not the greatest, but also nowhere near bad especially being a build we aren't getting permanently. Both betas were JUST a server stress test so we can't really judge it here. We get to play in a week (if you bought an edition that gives you 3 day early access) so that'll be the real judgement.
@@maboilaurence8227 I had some performance issues, and I think some of that can be attributed to denuvo being used.
The concept of heist game, basically Payday the heist. Much hard enemies and bullet can punch you on normal. The higher difficulty more special enemy becoming dangerous and normal enemy wearing Heavy armor. Payday 2 becoming casual game after post-patch One down difficulty to death sentence.. bummer. still like the game and community.
This video feels very impersonal, for such a personal videogame. I would love to hear more of YOUR opinions and experiences with games. Put your personality into it
Pre ordered it. Can’t wait to get my hands on it early
Nice, big w
payday 3 is so very different from payday 2 (then again, it just came out), and I'm not saying that it's a bad thing - it's actually quite interesting. I feel like they took the difficulty of the heist and applied that here, instead of 2's difficulty scaling. this makes the early game somewhat challenging to someone who isn't yet used to the new mechanics (but not the returning ones), but overall makes for a fun and interesting experience.
The fanbase is really mixed isn't it? I see people calling themselves ''old fans'' saying payday 3 is just same old payday 2 with future microtransactions and online only, saying it's a bad game and just overall being negative and not having high hopes (i'm not judging their POV, if what they say is true and not just blatant paranoia they have a point.) And others saying it'll be a great game and hoping for a good future...i'm very mixed. However, i bought payday 2 back in the day when i was 13 (back on 2014 or so) and for a really cheap bargain, and i have very fond memories of that game, so much nostalgia when i played classic heists like rats or firestarter, so i preordered pd3. I'm not one to preorder games, only those i REALLY like (and some to my regret...why did i have to be a need for speed fan.) but i did preorder pd3, here's hoping for no regrets down the line!
Original payday 2 was brutally difficult even on the easiest difficulty
Overkill is easy, mayhem isn't
Dope
payday the hast
tbh dallas i pd:th had a big ass forehead
True
man had a fivehead
How can payday3 be in the same sentence as evolution? Payday3 is a degrade from 2 in many aspects, sure it has better graphics (would be sad if not) and some stealth adjustments, thats it. Pre planning degraded, gun play degraded, spongy enemies, skill tree degraded, enemy design degraded (not cloaker) customization degraded (weapons, masks). Its just so utterly sad that they released it 1 year earlier and sell the DLC´s wich are basicly the main game.
You forgot that the game just came out and payday 2 came out 10 years ago
nah spongy enemies in pd3 has to be the biggest cap, same with gun play and enemy design
They're extremely different, so different in fact that you can barely compare them
I don’t mind payday 2 as it’s better then gta 5 heists
"Payday 3 has more skills then payday 2" KEK yeah didnt age well
