I naively thought that I knew Torrevieja and its surroundings until watching your videos I realized that I did not get to know it as deeply as you did, thank you for returning me to my reality, good job, congratulations
Thanks for watching, and the comment 👍 we also keep finding new places and events we didn't know about or have experienced and both Bob and Helen had a place here over 35 years!
"Every day is a school day"- more places and events are in our back catalogue.
Love it that there's always a doggie during the Helen's kitchen parts of the vlog that are lapping up about 14 pints of water 😊 Another great one guys - thank you!
Never even given that a thought! Thanks for watching 👍
Evening from Newcastle
Hi Joe, thanks for joining us!
A thoroughly enjoyable watch, nice to catch up with things going on in the area...... La Hoya development is huge! Surely a very, very long term development, which can only be good for local residents and businesses a like. I hope the council and developers are sympathetic regarding the environment too. Back to food, Ive tried red roos & matts burger restaurants, both really top notch burger offerings. Maybe a future burger comparison video ? Great to see a community come together for a deserving charity cause 👏 looking forward to another weeks holiday break in the spring, back in Quesada, I cannot wait! The pork marinade looked delicious!
Thanks for watching 👍 La Hoya is planned to take upto possibly 25 years from what we've heard. We'll do regular updates now things are starting to move at a pace.
We'll try to do Matts Burgers in the future. (Maybe as a separate episode)- but advise comparison etc. In a weekend vlog- will see how it pans out. 👍
@britslivinginspain thanks very much for your reply.......blimey! 25 years! That's a very long time!
@grahambell9831 we're going to speak to one of our contacts to get more detailed info and copies of plans etc. Will cover that in a future video if we manage to obtain anything.
@@britslivinginspain that's really nice to read bout and will no doubt make for some very interesting videos and hopefully a good business opportunity 👍🙂
It's right on the doorstep to the office, so fingers crossed 🤞
Hi the pre paid bus card is so good, if you book your seat to go on the airport bus at Kiosk in Torrevieja bus garage, show them your card and they will give you a slip of paper to give to the driver and he will let you scan your card so you can get the discount 🚌👍
Excellent- thanks for clarifying 👍 (and thanks for watching 👍)
Hi guys great video as always the citrus centre at playa Flamenca are doing a tapas tour tomorrow we are hoping it will be better that the Toreiveja one! Diane from Southampton/ los altos 😁
Ooohh. Nice. Enjoy that one! Thanks for watching 👍
Should have done the Benijófar tapas route on the same weekend. It's a lot better 👍
We will do next time- we only did this one instead of the one in Benijofar because it was easier to get to/ from... thanks for watching 👍
Thank you Helen!!! I just learned that the "secreto" is part of the neck, all my life I have been eating it without knowing exactly what it was!!!...and 99% of Spaniards don't know it either,..!!! believe me😂😂😂
@@ANDICOBERRY1 that's because it's a secret... 🤔😉
hallo bob, greetings from vienna austria, christopher and daniela here. pity the tapas evening did not work work out, damm. there is always next time.. well our news, we are at vista bella golf from this sunday till 21 oct... what else.... golfing.. we have a excellent irish profi pro to help us, but, we will find time to visit bob and his garden.... thanks for the tip about la mata beach.. and also the tip re. english shop in guardmar old video.. so there we have it. cheers for now c&d chris and dani
Hi guys! Thanks for watching- enjoy your trip and the golf ⛳️
I also done tapas video on this day ,it was very quiet not as busy as the previous ones .by the way great video 👍
Think you did a different one? (The one after this one)- Thanks 😊
We need to time it so we are out there when they are doing the Tapa runs, always seem to manage to miss them!
Los Montesinos is usually at Easter... keep an eye on Euro Tour Guides website calendar...
Hi guys great vid. We did the tapas route in the afternoon and it was definitely better....well less busy anyway. A few places offered the 3.50€ that weren't on the route such as Mexi Mundo which were great. Los Montesinos did offer better food, value and organisation though.
Thanks for watching 👍 we knew about mexi mundo. Shame about our experience. Roll on Montesinos at Easter 👍
What a shame the tapas route was a letdown. Are there anymore local tapas events coming up. Also have you tried keeping ginger root in the freezer it can be grated from frozen when needed 😉
Yes @ tapas routes. Elche and Guardamar this weekend. Thanks for the tip re. Ginger root. Thanks for watching 👍
Hi Bob,hi guys….as per usual a very informative vlog….Andy can you please send me details as to where to get the bus cards as me & Cher are usually BW for quite a bit on our visits. 😂…thanks….Tapas didn’t look half as pleasurable as the los Montisinos one you did previously…back out in 3 weeks…so probably see you in mercadona as per usual 😂😂….stay safe..best wishes. Alan & Cher 😎🥳
Actually got it from the driver as you could see in the video. Read other comments regarding using it for bus to/ from airport. Thanks for watching 👍 see you soon.
Also I thought some of the tapas wasn’t great this time round
Hello and thank you for your videos😀. I would like to know about the sewer smell that some people talk about in social media. Are there parts of the city that have a sewer smell? I would like to get a property there since they are really affordable but the sewer smell is a concern I have before making the move. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks for watching. Sewer smell, no. The only thing we can think of is if a property is empty for a few months- the water traps dry out so there is no barrier to stop the smell from the drains...
Also agree this time found tapas expensive, not great value
Yeah. Thanks for watching 👍
Great video guys, any chance you could advise me where you buy the bus card, what company it serves and whether there are any timescales to use the credit up by ?
Hi. Costa azul, we think. (Only)- we got ours from the bus driver when we got on the bus (that was it in the video) no idea on how long credit is valid, never asked... thanks for watching 👍
