How to RESET Security PIN on Samsung Smart TV to DEFAULT (Easy Method!)

Do you want to know how to reset samsung tv without pin? It's easy to reset your Samsung TV PIN back to default. If you are trying to change your PIN the default PIN is 0000. To reset your pin, turn off your TV. Now press MUTE 8 2 4 POWER and turn on your TV. Then you can change the PIN by going to Menu, System, Security and you can type in the default pin 0000 and change your PIN number easily! If you are trying to RESET your TV settings back to default or trying to access the SMART HUB on your TV enter your new PIN.

I went to Samsung's own instructions and they didn't mention this. This worked perfectly whereas theirs didn't. Good job.

If this sollution didnt work for you, atleast what worked for me is: go to tv source, then quickly press these buttons :
Mute + Volume Up + Return + Volume Down + Return + Volume Up + Return
This resets the pin to 0000

Omg, that worked so quickly. Thank you! I haven't used it in so long that I couldn't remember and was doing a few combos then got blocked for 5 minutes, repeat...over and over. So Googled it and here I am and now it's fixed. Now, I most likely won't touch it for another 5 years but since it's something from my childhood, I'll never forget now. Wooohooo! I have the AU8000 Samsung 55" Crystal 4KUHD TV and this instructional video worked to reset my PIN. Strangely, I never actually set a Security PIN yet there was one. Even the default 0000 PIN did not work. After watching this video I did set a personal PIN this time around that I know I won't forget. Thanks for the video!

Thanks buddy it works, strange thing though with the series 6 TVs (mine is the 6400) the TV turns back on sometimes after pressing 8 and when it does work it will come up on the TV "not available" but it has actually reset the code it just wont alert you in anyway and comes across as if it didn't when infact it did work. cheers
