Non farmer here this channel helps me appreciate every thing produced on our farms 🐮🐄❤
💯
Dairy farming seems to require the widest range of skills than any other calling !
Thanks for watching ☺️
Without Tom & Ginge we wouldn't know the struggles, hard work and joy farmers have every single day, week, month & year 🥰🥰
As a city girl, I have learned so much from your channel. Sharing your knowledge about the land and how things are done . I grew up in Kamloops BC, where there is beef cattle and semi arid climate. I did not two bits that people on the other side of the world had to tile their fields and fight off the water. Loved the episode about the flood gates and pumping station.
These “sit downs” with the Ginger Warrior are FANTASTIC!!! Absolute GOLD!❤️Thank you both for sharing the knowledge and the History. You are sharing HOPE for the future!!! Thank you both!
This is one of my favourite vids you have done. Honest and open and such a joy to see Father and son talking to each other with respect and admiration. Love you guys.
And that's quite a rare thing !
Thank you so much ☺️
So perfectly said!
Ginge how can you say you have a simple brain. You have acres of knowledge to pass on, which is priceless to Tom. You can hear in Tom's voice how much he loves and respects you, and the fountain of knowledge you have learnt in your years of farming 🐄🐮🐄
On top of that, Tom and the Ginger have such a lovely father son relationship. Respect, care, learning from eachother, it is all there
Thankyou you both for such kind words ☺️
Well said!
@@TomPembertonFarmLife Thanks for all that you both do.
I’m a complete non farmer and am fascinated by the process and I have learned so much about where my food comes from and have a massive appreciation now for all farmers.
Your dad talking about fallen into the slurry pit brings back memories when I fell into the slurry pit as a child you realize how lucky you are to survive that should always appreciate your life because you never know when an accident might cost your life
I'm a non-farmer and have been watching you guys for 2 years ago and absolutely love you videos
I love seeing you with your Da, mine has been gone 34 years, but had the same practical humanness about him, like the ginger warrior.
I am not a farmer, nor do I live in Britain. I love the way you two farm and hope more people take the love, dedication, and passion you two have and farm! We need more farmers like you!
I love the relationship between you and your dad. It's so refreshing to see. I'm also loving the improvements that you're doing to the farm. Can't wait to see what the future holds for y'all. Love y'all and all that y'all do.
Love the heritage aspect of traditional family farms. There's real strength in any enterprise rooted in multi-generational ownership. Great to see you strengthening the foundations of the farm.
Ginger Warrior what a lovely picture of your dad and uncle. We can hear in your voice how proud you are. I then realized that I was smiling at your memories 🥰🥰 Thank you. Loved the Q&A
None farmers raise ur hands I'll be one of many o/ The education I receive is priceless from this channel.. it's not all about the good, its honesty front to back.
Andrew you must be one of the proudest farthers in the land having such an asset as tomas a son. two extremely brilliant chaps please keep up the excellent videos 👍
Thank you so much ☺️
"There is muck on a dairy farm..." Spit my coffee across the table, 🤣🤣. Best quote all day!
Out of five tractors on our farm the newest was 41 years old. It became an issue of reliability. We are selling four of the old tractors and it will pay outright the loan on the new tractor and baler. There’s more we need but everything has to pay for itself writhing 5 years or we don’t do it. Our big project this year is to erect a wind/solar farm that will reduce our power costs by 90% and pay for itself in 2 years. I love seeing fellow farmers who live practically and love the work!
As a non farmer I watch content like yours to gain a further understanding about some of what my family's past generations went through. I'm only a generation removed from the farm on one side of my family and two generations removed from the farm on the other side and with only one living member of the family who grew up on a farm is still around today but he can no longer speak to his experiences. It also doesn't hurt to remind myself and appreciate where the food we all eat is created.
Alot of wise words from the both of you. Tom you have a good head on your shoulders and that's down to how you were brought up by your mum and dad.
Support British farmers!! Scrap HS2 and buy local where you can. I'm a non farmer but with a huge interest In agriculture. This channel really taught me loads about what you do. Thank you
GOOD MORNING TOM AND THE GINGER GUY! The day of my graduation from high school, I went to a friends farm to see some of the cars he had dragged home, he collected 1950-60s Cadillacs. They were lined up in a field, so I started running towards the field, thinking this green colored type ramp was cement, I ran up it, but after a few steps, I realized it wasn’t cement but a pile of cow poop! I tried to stop, and when I did, I fell forward, and luckily I caught myself before I went face first into it. My face was about an inch above the poop and I was on my fingertips. No one wanted to help me out, so I rocked back and forth enough to be able to stand up again. Needless to say, my dress pants were ruined along with my shoes and shirt. They were all brand new, by the way. Everyone was laughing their asses off. All except me of course. I had Joe get me a hose so I could clean myself off before going back home to change to go to graduation. From that day to this, I never do anything without double checking to see if it’s OK to proceed. So I sympathize with THE GINGER GUY. WE ARE ABOUT 5HE SAME AGE, I was born 12/30/1956. Love your channel and content. Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA 😊🎉
😂😂😂❤
About the same here 6/20/56
Great video
An old farm boy here, and I have to say I enjoy watching your videos and seeing your advances. Please keep it up folks..
I really enjoy these talks you have. Gives us great insight into the farm management. My uncle had 7 boys to help run his dairy farm, but he still ran it like a general. Love seeing the ginger guy just sitting and talking with you about where he sees the farm headed.
Really chuckle at your Dad's responses. Super cool end of last video you had two drone shots - farm a few years ago and now showing the massive improvement.
Sometimes a good ol chat with the ginger man with a mustache makes a perfect video 👍
I'm a non farmer, kind of related to several farmers and my grandfather was a farmer who needed to stop due to a failing body. What i like on this channel is that it's showing very nicely what growing stock is about. It's not some kind of pumped up commercial channel, but a sincere bunch of people that found a way to cope in this hard time for farmers. In my surroundings, a guy just got the farm of his dad, and he also is growing through side projects such as teaching kids how milk is made, what happens on a farm, ...
I think it's crucial to get connected to non farmers so they know what is going on, instead of only see farmers getting mad and stop traffic as a fair reaction on another new nitrogen rule
for instance (what happens here in Belgium at least). Everybody should know that farms are providing the very basic need of society and no country can survive without them. The great challenge for farmers is to adapt to new situations, next to doing what basically soups up most of their time already.
You two are doing great. I love hearing dad talk when he's showing his experience about silage, wellfare of cows,.... I love the creative (business) approach Tom is showing. You both have great ideas and are definitely future driven. I'll probably hang around a while :)
Don’t apologise for the video… love it when the two of you sit down, especially to reflect at the end of the year. Absolutely love hearing it all, well done as ever gents, amazing as always.
Thank you Tom and Andrew for sharing your working life with us. Another non farmer that has become far more educated about the hard work that you do and how you manage your animals and ground.
Non farmer here… Lord I love you guys! An envious relationship to have there! 🐄🐄🐄🐄
I love when you and father sit down and spin it out. So look forward to your videos and learning about farming and your lives.
Met these two.... they don't dissapoint they are just as fab in the flesh.
Thabks Darren ☺️
Speaking of family farming history, brotherr-in-law is 3rd generation farmer in Midwest USA. Three children, none of which are going into farming. He rents out farm acreage and his children probably will too (unless they just sell the farm and take the money). Sad for farming that all that knowledge doesn't get passed along. Tom, you dad is a very smart man!
I’m not a farmer but really enjoy your content. Enjoyed the question and answer session 👍🏻👍🏻
These type of videos give a really good insight into the thought and planning that goes into all of this, we all sit back and watch these videos thinking we’d love to do your job but if we ever did, most of us would be shocked at how hard and long it would be, rain hail snow or wind your out in that all day especially with dairy cattle
Great discussion Tom and Ginger Guy. As a farmer the two most important questions for me was the farm succession making sure there was young blood coming into the business and food security. We’re in mid tier stewardship (arable)and grandad would honestly be turning in his grave knowing that good productive land was being used as over winter bird food. At the minute it’s the right direction for us but definitely FOOD for thought. Hope you all have a great Christmas 🎅🏻
My best mate from 4yrs old (we’re 57 now) is a farmer, I work in IT. I still go down at weekends to play farmers and I take a week off work for harvest. It’s fun for me and especially during harvest, him getting to go eat a proper sit down mean instead of snap in the cab, makes long long days bearable.
I’m the same, I subscribe to what I enjoy, hardly ever look at the TV. Take care all of you. 👍👍👍🇬🇧
I am not a farmer in any, but love your intelligent content and fully understand all your struggles, to feed us and look after the country side, keep it up
Love the vids you do. I'm a non farmer but one thing I do understand is, "without a farmer, no one eats."
Could listen to your dad for hours what a legend
Cracking conversation... thanks for sharing it...
Great video Tom. Drop one of these in whenever you like. Your dad is a legend
Grew up working on a dairy farm as a pre teen, teenager, delivering milk etc, set me up for life with the work ethic I learnt. Great video today, good insights to your days👍
Nice to see the 'ginger guy's' new overalls 👍🙈 will take some wearing in to feel as comfy as your old one though.
I’m not a farmer but I love your channel and it really gives me an insight into British farming
We need a day with your Mom The Backbone of the farm.
I love your close relationship, and love for your farm. If I still traveled your farm would be my destination.
Been out of farming for 20 years now and miss it like mad, love watching and listening to you both, watching the farm evolve and seeing Tom grow under the guidance your dad.
I'm a non farmer, live in sunny Queensland Australia 🇦🇺. Love watching your videos & how your farm works.
Great video!! My favorite part was when your dad was talking about your grandmother saying you "could hear the silence." Great questions and answers, well done!!
I am 54 not a farmer but love these videos it is educational cheers guys
A brill chat to listen in on...I'm ex dairyman & admire your enthusiam...Respect...
The ginger warrior using one of my favourite sayings; if you stand still you go backwards. Love the work you do, love your channel, love the produce which we buy regularly, love you all and everything about you. Keep it up and stay well 👍🏻
I LOVE the Ginger Guy's shirt. How cool. One of a kind, just like he is. :)
That half hour was one of the fastest ever - Well done Tom & Andrew 😺
no fancy comments or technical stuff, just a simple thank you. It's nice to be a fly of the wall of such a lovely family
So great hearing you two, thank you!
I'm also non farmer, but I love watching you and your Dad and hearing about your farming life.
Just want to say Thank you so much for your wonderful CZcams channel, I don’t always comment, But I do watch every video, big thumbs up to you all at Pembertons farm, 👍👍👍👍.
I've learned a lot about how hard running a farm is, I think the prices you spoke off for the milk are awful low for the time and effort it takes... I take my hat off to all farmers you do a great job, thank you. All the best Peter
I really look forward to hour videos. I hope Andy gets his cafe’. You have certainly brought farming into focus for non-farmers.
I really enjoyed that conversation, nice to know that you are all down to earth and have loads of enthusiasm for the farm, as a non Farmer myself it’s just great to have tons of info from you guys. Greetings from a Sim Farmer in Germany 🇩🇪
If I had a do-over in life, I would be a farmer! My grandparents and great-grandparents were farmers in Washington State, US. I grew up with my mother's stories about her visits to her grandparent's farm. The one that always makes me laugh is this: My mom was at the dinner table on the farm and she asked about a calf named "Baby". She had helped bottle-feed "Baby" the year prior and she asked where he was. Her grandpa looked her straight in the eyes and told her "Baby" was right there on her dinner plate! That was a huge lesson for a young "city girl" to learn! I am grateful that my mom always made sure I understood where our food comes from!
No farmer here, I accidentally found you on social media. I’ve been watching you since the start of Covid, I love watching you guys, the ginger guy with the moustache has incredible knowledge. I do love our farmers & dairy farmers
Thank you so much ☺️
Love seeing yal sitting back just talking about your farm life. ❤❤❤❤
non farmer here... cant even drink milk. Love ur channel, pls keep it up. Good job to all of you overthere
Best types of video Tom, love it when you have a chat with your father
I grew up on a farm in New York State until I was about 9 or 10 years old. I lost interest in farming until I watched the Hoof GP. He Led me to you and I have watched every single video. Because of a lot of the farming youtube channels my passion has been renewed. I don't farm myself but I love and appreciate all farmers around the world. Videos like this are great because it gives us a look behind the scenes of what goes into running a farm. Keep them coming and I will continue to enjoy them.
Great video thanks to you both for giving up your time for us.
loved this! Tom's energy, Ginger's wisdom!
I love it when you and your Dad share these conversations. This was great.
Interesting contributions between you too, very entertaining sitting with you at the table!
I love this video. It gives us a chance to get to know you guys even more, it's like sitting down with family & having a family discussion.
Awesome video. Love that you and your dad work together.
I love these chats; it's nice to hear your guys opinion on stuff, and answering questions! Doesn't have to be an epic fancy video every time
Enjoyed this talk between you and your dad hope they continue

Thanks for both taking the time out to do this. My son and I came to the 2021 farm tour, so great to experience your work in person. A must for anyone who spends time on this channel. Thank you for all that you do!
A farm is a work in progress by necessity. There are always improvements that can be done to improve efficiency.
I love watching your vlogs. I loved helping my grandad, when he farmed. This helps me remember my time on the farms. Keep up the good work
