True, true. They did rock that "Of the Night" performance. I think the good days and bad days may have a lot to do with the venue and audience. A SNL performance is a lot different than the "Of the Night" venue and crowd. I can see why one would be better than the other.
I did this on the most recent tour, well I was in seated but me and my mate went for it like we were part of standing, despite the fact that nobody around us did.It was absolutely amazing
I just LOVE how he is involved with the audience, and doesn't just make it his song and nothing else. I admire this band so much because of how down to earth they all are, and none of their songs are meaningless.
Depends on how big the venue is, and how many people there will be. I got there about 30 minutes before the doors opened, and got fairly close. So 30-60 minutes, or more if you can handle the cold :D I would really recommend going, they're SO GOOD live.
To sound good in a studio is one thing but to sound the same live with out any enhancing features typically used in a studio. Well that is priceless :).
Wow! They are so amazing! I just realized why I love Bastille so much: the percussion. But that's not the only reason. Their sound and songs are so unique. It's like nothing I ever heard before. And you sure as hell don't hear it in today's crap that passes for music. You have Dan singing those amazing songs and the band playing some wonderful music. But that percussion really ties it all together. I don't think I would enjoy their music so much without it. It really makes me feel the music. I relate to their lyrics a lot too. When I listen to them, whatever I'm thinking or feeling, it's like they're playing for me, or singing to me. It's like they know what I'm going through and wrote a song just for me. Bravo, gentlemen. I really wanted to see them in concert earlier this month but I couldn't get off for work bc of spring break. I haven't been to a concert in over 3 years and I'm going through withdrawals. ha ha :)
Its hard to tell the difference between his voice from a record and live performance.. I.E the guy has a smashing voice! Not too many artists that sound just as good live..
This is the rhythm of my life My life, oh yeah This is the rhythm of the night The night, oh yeah. Wont you teach me how to love and learn, There'll be nothing left for me to yearn, Think of me and burn and let me hold your hand, Oh yeah-ah-eh, I don't want to face the world in fear, Please think again, I'm on my knees, Sing that song to me, No reason to repent,This is the rhythm of the night, the night, oh yeah, The rhythm of the night, This is the rhythm of my life, my life, oh yeah, The rhythm of my life.
I love dan's hair, his beautiful eyes, his amazing voice, his red converse( because I've got the same!), I LOVE DAN!!!!!!!!! The Rest of Bastille is also great, but Dan's the BEST
I just love this performance because he messes up and has to fix it. But the way he manages to take to them and still sing on time and correctly is great. That's what I love about live performances, the little moments and mistakes. It makes it fun and memorable.
When he says "everybody down" it just makes this cover even better. Even though he is actually talking to the audience. I think it sounds epic in the song. haha
I saw them live this month and this song was AMAZING live. Dan got everone to get down and then up again and jumping for the chorus and everyone was so in sync and it felt so great to be in that crowd. Amazing perfomance!
I remember when this song first came out I had to been 15-16yro. It was a great song. I knew all the words and danced my ass off every time it came on. But forgot all about it as time went on and it stopped playing on the radio. But then on new years 2015 when these dudes played it live I was with a group of friends from way back when and we all grew up listening to this song. WOW!! talk about a through back moment lol. Now being older married and with kids. Partying like I did In those days are down to one beer no shots and E pills what are f#*king nuts lol.. I really sat back and listen to the lyrics. Dam this is a really good song and these guys nailed it. great job. Dam!!! I miss being in my teens lol..
But seriously, you guys don't know how many lives you've saved doing what you do, we may have a small fandom but we al love you so much, we've been her from the start, were stormers, and we know you love us back. Not all superheroes wear capes.

Aw, Dan is just adorable. "Wait wait wait! Down!" xD
That is exactly the reason why this is my favorite version! It's just adorable how he choreographs the crowd while he performs!
craierahl The same
I know, he did it at the concert I was at, Dan is all like "Would you dance with me...?" and the crowd YEEEES!
Love how Dan is just like guys calm down don't get excited yet the best part is coming
He's one of the few artists that sound as good live as they do recorded.
I can't believe they pulled it off live.. Amazing.. THANK YOU! Bastille for not lip syncing...
I know right...They sound great! Just like the album. Fantastic performance.
I'm a little skeptical about that....their performance on SNL was live and nowhere near that good.
Well every band has their good days and bad days .. Like Nirvana, their MTV unplugged concert was considered to be their best performance..
True, true. They did rock that "Of the Night" performance. I think the good days and bad days may have a lot to do with the venue and audience. A SNL performance is a lot different than the "Of the Night" venue and crowd. I can see why one would be better than the other.
And I completely agree about Nirvana's Unplugged. I think it was their best ever.
I always smile when he says "wait wait wait" haha. LOVE YOU BASTILLEEEEE
"WAIT WAIT WAIT NOT YET" DANIEL

I did this on the most recent tour, well I was in seated but me and my mate went for it like we were part of standing, despite the fact that nobody around us did.It was absolutely amazing
Someway, his songs are giving me kind of adrenaline..
Dan has one of the best voices in pop music imo. effortless and unique.
I mean, he jumps and sing at the same time and his voice is still stable.😲😲
I've seen Dan perform of the night live and it was breathtaking. one of my favorite songs of bastille.
I love that he keeps his pitch even while jumping around like that.
I just LOVE how he is involved with the audience, and doesn't just make it his song and nothing else. I admire this band so much because of how down to earth they all are, and none of their songs are meaningless.
thain haven But it’s so weak. There’s no bite to their music and his voice keeps cracking.

im thinking of going to one of their concerts...how long before the show do you think i would have to get there to get close to the stage
Depends on how big the venue is, and how many people there will be. I got there about 30 minutes before the doors opened, and got fairly close. So 30-60 minutes, or more if you can handle the cold :D
I would really recommend going, they're SO GOOD live.

Wow! They are so amazing! I just realized why I love Bastille so much: the percussion. But that's not the only reason. Their sound and songs are so unique. It's like nothing I ever heard before. I just love this performance because he messes up and has to fix it. But the way he manages to take to them and still sing on time and correctly is great. That's what I love about live performances, the little moments and mistakes. It makes it fun and memorable.
