  • Do you think you have a busy mind and can't meditate?
    When doing hypnosis or practicing meditation, you’ll notice that especially at the beginning, from time to time your mind wanders. This happens to everybody even me.
    Our monkey brains can jump around from one topic to the next. A lot of people focus too much of their energy on this, some to the point where they find themselves annoyed with themselves and they feel like they are failing. If you are one of these people, stop being so harsh on yourself.
    Our minds are like computers. Even when you aren’t even touching that keyboard, all kinds of processes are taking place. In the same way, our minds can multi-task.
    There are times when a part of you can be thinking something and another part even feels likes its drifted off to a memory or another place. That’s normal. When you catch your thoughts drifting off, give it no energy, and no judgement. Just bring yourself back. Notice your breathing, feel your body and if somebody is leading your session, listen up.
    The more you learn to do this, the easier putting yourself in that “Just right” state will become. I’ll leave this thought with you: The more you let go and allow yourself to just go with the whole experience, and accept it without judgement, the more in control you’ll become.
