Hey, guys! Author for The Great Upset here. I've often struggled to maintain interest with many things over long periods of time, WoW included. It's definitely a bad habit and one I wish I could shake more easily. I'm not here to excuse anything I've done in the story either; though I could've probably added more context (that surely would've more further implicated me). It's definitely something enlightening having read back to me, even though I was largely eviscerated lol. Preach and the chat made a lot of solid points and patterns that I've never really worked out. A lot of truths in here were things I hoped to avoid but ended up getting myself entrapped in as well, to nobody's fault but my own. I do want to say that I am happily playing TWW and I have not quit since I came back before Amirdrassil! The guild I did Amirdrassil Mythic with unfortunately collapsed during the Awakened season, so I have found another guild to raid with, and I am optimistic I can make it to CE. Thanks for taking the time to read my story, Preach, and I'm glad the chat and viewers could get a solid story out of my misadventures. I'd have believed him if he said anything other than the casting animations. The panda weapon animations are fantastic, the casting animations are dumb as fuck.
Thrall leaving the horde made me hate the story after wrath. Mop just killed any hope they'd bring it back. I love the game but couldn't give two shits about the story anymore.
to be fair, i also disliked mop back then and still do, but it came down to the "funny-cutesy-lolcow"-quests that cata replaced the whole world with that my aspergers ass cant cope with and to put kong fu panda on top of that just killed the whole vibe of the game for me. i was a story nerd like no other and now i dont even know who half the people in this game are anymore
i remember when i thought drama time was dumb without even giving it a chance, now it's literally one of my favorite parts of preachs content
