I made this mix in 2010 for a friend in Spain after a long convo about early dubstep days in London when I used to go to DMZ at Mass. I never knew it had been uploaded to CZcams until years later. Someone just linked me to it again. Glad to see so many people feel it. And low the Ableton beat repeat, I was still learning to use the software for mixing back then 🤣 large up DMZ for the musical blessings
Bro! We recently built ourselves a little soundsystem here in OKC and we put on proper dubstep vibes akin to this classic dmz/tempa style. Check out Red Ground Sound, as well as the artists Immense Vibrations, Repulsion, and preeroz. All Oklahoma guys seriously holding it down.
I’m not even from London. I don’t even know much about the K. But this right here. I can just imagine it, cruising the streets, blasting this. On my way from home I’ll blast this mix. Middle of the night. Lake shore drive. Chicago. Summer. I’m gonna spark a blunt to it to. Shout out the Go. Shout the Kingdom
Everytime I hear the beginning of this, I get chills. Butterflies in my tummy. I remember the L and nodding my head to this for the straight almost 2 hours. Pure, raw dubstep 🖤

hard work turning 32 and want to go out and listen to some real. We were so spoilt. Im so glad we had it though, someone please tell me something more legit that happened since this? Im not igoring grime, garage, jungle, ragga, dub, rave, house prior. But what happened after this that was legit? Laptops came, everyone made things, some good. It become too easy. Someone please show where the legitimate progression from this was.
@@Menosfilms No doubt - the early Dubstep days still actually had the Dub influences! Dubstep is an underground genre that includes a whole bunch of stuff (in the same sort of way as garage), including what you're probably thinking of which is brostep (all the mad hyped up rave music you tend to find on UKF), but it started off as this sort of stuff originally. I think...

Would love to have been born a few years earlier. Begging my mum to Turn the jungle off as all I wanted was steppa or cotti that only grandad plays.🤣
but Jungle is older than Dubstep, by over a decade..
This is nice, to go back to where the genre bloomed, before the money machine ruined it as it ruins anything.

Can we bring this dubstep back especially in the states
isnt that where dubstep went to die ?
